Exactly I’m a huge Jay fan but it makes sense that he leaves and would obviously lose to nya he has no past memories meaning he doesn’t have his fighting skills or proper use of his element plus what would ras need a powerless , no memory person anyway

It’s due to misplaced expectations due to the sets. The sets created all this hype for Jay when in show never meant to have Jay play a big role in the tournament and was just set up

That's asuming he will get an arc. He went from working for the Administration to working from Ras completly offscreen. He left the tournament and it wasn't clear if he is still under Ras orders or if he was completly kicked out of the group.

I thought it was fun because I'm here for character rather than action. I really liked part 1 with the dragons, Arin's insecurities and inadequacy problems coming to the forefront, and seeing Wyldfyre be nice while still being arrogant. Season 2 was also a blast - I loved all the elements and matches. I really think Jay will be a massive part of Season 3 after being left behind like that - other than that I love the Arin and Sora stuff, Lloyd is a blast and Frak was such a highlight ...IF THEY DON'T GIVE CINDER A BACKSTORY, I WILL START MAKING THINGS UP.

agreed, as far as character goes, S2 part 1 was pretty great. I never had any issues with the training arc, and I loved the Bonzle arc. (I'll admit, Gandalaria dragged a lot, but I adored her, so it did not bother me) Overall, I think Dr S2 has got to be the beat Ninjago season imo. I say that as someone who likes Posession the best

If Jay would have stayed in the tournament, Arin would not have joined ras, but Trying to get jay to be good again and get back his parents (which btw, I don't think ras actually knows where they are)

nice theory about the monastaries, however when an unused song that was going to be the dragonrising intro (called 'feels good to be a ninja' iirc) was released, we found out from the lyrics that there are 16 monastaries

She had a connection to Kai since she was his sister and then Riyu who we all know is a source dragon energized her allowing her to open the rift using the dragon ivory and bring him back. We saw this was possible with part 1 Ras needed bonzo because she was the spell that trapped the forbidden five so she was the thing that could connect the rift to ninjago. There was no way else to bring the 5 back because all the people connected to the 5 were locked in the forbidden realm.

Starting to think this guy is way too nit picky like the ninja aren’t gonna learn a very old and extremely hard technique in just 2 episodes like it’s not even based on strength like spinjitsu or airjutsu , the first part of the season is pretty good cus u slowly see how they progress, my one nitpick is how arin was just constantly blaming his losses on Lloyd even though his objective spinjitsu is so easy considering everytime he’s done it he had a flashback of the last time he did it , and how the ninja were very nerfed in the tournament not being able to use their accumulated experiences to beat everyone but I guess that’s just plot

You know when you said it out loudly i thought the elementals of reflex and balance were weird too. But considering the elemental powers come from the source dragons and the dragon we met this season being the source dragon of motion. It actually makes more sense now. With one of the other source dragons mentioning that that lloyd was one of his too we could probably figure out the main dragon archetypes the other elemental powers came from. Like how quake and earth are related or fire and heat!

Ok I just want to point out a few things Tom because I think you’re missing some points on this season… 1. The other dragon master besides Eggalt is called Rantu 2. You’re wrong about none of the characters getting development in Season 2 Part 1 as other KZbinr have discovered what the writers have been doing to some of the ninja. For example, BendoBricks has done videos explaining Sora, Lloyd and Arin’s arcs so far and Crusty783 explained how Dragons Rising Season 2 has made Kai the best he’s been in years. Maybe give those videos a watch and your mind might be changed. 3. The snail leader is called Zant-Tanz and his elemental power is actually PLANTS, not nature. 4. Just a guess, but maybe the design team wanted some of the ninja’s masks to be their secondary colours while other’s are their main colours. Although I wish they just picked one or the other. 5. While yes you notice Tox, Mr Pale and Neuro in the Tournament, you missed Camille (aka the Master of Form).

DR S2 P1 was the Closest we'll get to A Peak Kai Season since S5. Although S7 is also a Kai Season, he didn't get much development aside from wanting his parents. S11 barely focused on him at all

1 Chima is in the Realm, not the realm is Chima, maybe review what happened in Chima seasons, before you make faulty assumptions 2 the forever rock was like an inside joke between the kids of the tribes, and calling it a landmark is an overstatement 3 they had 3 vertical segments, they should have placed them all in one frame or extend the aspect ration, I hate vertical content. 4 the Ninja got new outfits because that was the next suits in line, and Lloyd was busy with wolves in his head, my theory is the ninja have a closet of suits they have ahead of time, so anytime they need new ones, they just grab from the stock 5 why did they write Lloyd to be a little piece of wet -------, especially after seeing the world ripped apart , he is most worried about some wolves in his nightmares, my advice to him :grow up you weak little ----- 6 what some see character development, some will see as character assassination, if the writers wanted an allegory for mental health, use a new character, not one who has faced evil in the face and survived 7 Geo. -------- well queerbaiting worked out for Disney, right... parents brought Ninjago back into this world, they can take it right out, 8 Bonzle says she is not a just a spell, but at the end of the day she is a complex spell to lock away the forbidden five, her feelings mean nothing when it comes for what she was created to do, you cant escape reality 8 the writers are setting up the administration, Dorrama, and Rapton for each of their own things , they are being set up gradually, this will all look brilliant when the payoff comes 9 who let a tournament to honor source dragons be run by someone who doesn't believe they exist 10 Zeatrix already has a model , they did it for a reason though

@@blossxma I liked part 1 too but I didn't like Dorama and the whole way magic happened there.Like spells being sentient I didn't really like,I think it would've been better if Bonzle was the sorceress.I didn't like Gandalaria either.TBH Part 2 was near perfect for me. TBH DR season 2 is still my favourite Ninjago Season
