Apparently this comic happens during the Serpentine War. Shatterspin was a technique he sought out to learn to help in the war.

I believe these are the students from the 2 dragons egalt and Rontu. People a huge reason why evalt hates humans, and he was said that he trained human students. Never again will he learn from a mistake.

if you look at the cover with garmadon you can see the person over garmadon has the same marks on his face as nokt so i think this theory is true

I can debunk this right now. In dragons rising the forbidden 5 were trained century’s ago and the hands of time fight it clearly says that they would come back in around 40 years and they did so the forbidden 5 trained and banished century’s ago but you said he trained them after hands of time fight witch was 40-50 years from present day ninjago meaning garamadon could never have trained them

So I thought this too, but it's not possible. In the upcoming Shatterspin comics, it says Gamadon learns Shatterspin during the Serpentine war after trying to find the truth about the forbidden five . . . therefore the forbidden five were banished before the Serpentine war. Garmadon didn't teach them anything. I actually think Egalt trained the forbidden five, you should make a video about it. He and Rontu seem to bring up past students that make Egalt upset, I think it's also why he doesn't trust/like humans, because he trained the forbidden five spinjitsu, just for them to turn it into shatterspin and become evil.

I read a comic named shatter spin (I only read the first one there are 5) and it told about how chen sent garmadon on a mission to learn shatter spin so your theory isn't true

Well that was the most difficult part with all this. We have a set point of he left to train with Chen and before he turned evil. So to narrow it down with when he would have the movie time I said after the battle of the time twins. After they hid the blades they were on a relaxing period and possibly Garmadon took some time to go explore. Though Chen could also fit because before he went to visit Chen he could’ve also done it. Though I’m curious what you think?
