Like what exactly could Mike even do as scorpion??? Can’t do f4 string(flawless block in f42) continuing the whole string is -8 Punishable. Can’t do throws or jump ins… I saw ninja flawless block a d3 so pokes??? Outta the question too Tbh, only thing Mike has going for him was that b3 and sometimes f34 but even then… They got problems as you see in the video Mike can’t even combo either, Ninja would just break after the teleport immediately so it’s really just 18% punish 😭 Spear scales combos… etc

A lot of times NK was vulnerable in the air Mike could’ve easily timed a B/O button kick, it’s an unstoppable full combo punish when timed correctly. Also he didn’t pressure right he used too many moves that can be punished. If NK breaks after the combo starts he’ll be vulnerable

Most moves are unsafe and as you said he can’t get big combos from tele as it’s so easy to break. The damage scaling after amplified spear is an abomination and they tried to justify it by saying it’s because you can’t break away. Plenty of other characters have unavoidable damage, but it isn’t scaled. His combos are also super predictable (minus sin blade) and everyone plays him so opponents see what he can do…or can’t do.

Its true. Pros are a different beast. I fought Rewind yesterday in kombat league. It was a different thing. What often goes unmentioned, is pros have access to community amenities a casual player didn't know existed. As I was getting cooked by Rewind, I realized he wasn't doing things I COULDN'T do, he was doing things I didn't know you COULD do. There is no way stock in game training mode could prepare you for someone like Rewind..
