In reality, Ira's authority is distant and makes them feel each other's emotions and keep increasing, with feeling some hope in each other, that would collide and come back and so it would rise. incredibly the excitement, and that was caused by the story that Subaru defeated an Archbishop, gave me hope when I heard it Since there is no one who has defeated an Archbishop, and Ira's authority simply worked there with the new feeling, his authority is well built the anime is handling it poorly

31:22 sometimes? 39:19 The author said that they don’t care so they just ignored it. It’s basically what Al said about them when Anastasia was worrying about the cultists actions. Sin archbishops act on their desires and the gospels guidance. According to the gospel they’re winning anyways. Remember that it apparently can’t detect changes caused by Subaru with knowledge thanks to return by death as seen with Petelgeuse in season 1. From their perspective, who don’t know that their gospel can’t predict the changes caused by Subaru, if the book doesn’t tell you to do it or doing something that goes against what it says would logically speaking hinder them to get what they want in worst case. Now about the archbishops wants aside from the demands: Sirius wants to connect people with her authority. She doesn’t care what they feel as long as they’re connected as could be seen in the second episode when everyone was telling Reinhard to kill her under her influence. Regulus already has everything he wants and not only does he not gain anything from opening the gates but he even got angry at Capella because he thought she opened one of the gates. He clearly doesn’t want them opened. Gluttony wants memories for whatever reason. Can you get memories from corpses? I doubt it. Capella wants people to love her. While partially contradicting herself with her behavior she prefers to not kill people. She said it herself. So she wouldn’t open the gates either. Also the artificial spirit is among the demands. They can’t risk losing it by killing everyone via Sirius authority or randomly by opening the gates.

I mean the witch cultists technically didn't even need to make the ransom demands. They simply did it for the love of the game in my opinion, the witch cultists can easily kill every single person there (except Reinhard, but that's a given). The reason they gave the ransom option was simply a way to toy with their opposition. If the opposition attack and fail, then it would be another way to crush the hopes of the people right?

When they attack the city, the archbishops weren’t even on the same page nor they care what others do. Mostly there for their own personal desire. Regulus kidnapped Emilie for force marriage because she’s a virgin and a collection for more girls. Sirius takes pleasure on inflicting torture feelings with people. Capella likes to turn people into flies for her own twisted view on lust. It’s just my take on it though.

When they attack the city, they weren’t even on the same page nor they care what other archbishop do. They mostly there for their own desire. Capella likes to turn people into flies for her own twisted view on lust. So I never thought there was a plan on attacking the city other than causing chaos for their own desire rather than logic.

Speaking of Subaru's cringy moment, wasn't it stated somewhere that him really succeded in infuriating the knights was due to the fact that he was right? Most of them indeed were born into the job. To make it worse, despite his unsightly outburst and baseless self-gratification, he actually did what a proper knight shoud have done in that situation - stood up against unjust oppression unfolding in front of them.

Most knights were from noble houses & kinda d*cks. We romanticise them but there's a reason nobility had horses, heavy armor and shields while the peasant class was on the front lines with spears and swords.

@NinjaKuma yeah, though it's a fantasy setting, so one would assume things like idealism and chivalry are still alive there. At least Julis seems to believe in those. The recent event with Reinhart's daddy had a lot in common. Though this time Subaru was in the position to speak up, and was thanked by Julis for doing what he couldn't.

Every shot in these episodes have been well directed and important so far, i'd argue there's a reason we didn't see a single frame of any of them listening, much less reacting to it. Maybe they all did what regulus did and tuned it out because they care that little

Nah Al is 100% a friendly hater, he goes into the shadows doing dirty work and while he is the mvp, but he is like the beaten big bro watching naive little bro get everything he ever wanted without sacrifices. The way he looked at beatrice and subaru hugging in breaktine, him being surprised Emilia belives in Subaru, and him trying to convince him to ignore the ghe people and just focus on emilia, he is trying to live vicariously through him because he thinks he knows best. My guess is when he was young he was like subaru, except trained his ass off with the sword, but he lost his friends, he lost his princess and lost his arm, and it made him realize he cant really protect anything. So he got a princess that doesnt even need him for protection and is happy being her tool. But now he sees Subaru doing what he couldn't and while he envies his life he still trying to get him to help him realize that just like him, subaru wont be able to protect everything dear to him and he will end up like him unless he starts making sacrifices now.

To be fair the anime cuts out a lot of stuff thats in the LN and WN. Like theres stuff they’ve removed that would’ve/should’ve been shown by now. Though I get you were referring to the specific people who are like “Oh you’re wondering how subarus gonna overcome the white whale arc, well don’t worry he teams up with crusch and anastasia to get the whale and later the cultists and rems memory gets eaten. thats why theres a blank letter Don’t worry thats not a spoiler its in the light novel (The anime hasnt covered yet)”

I’m pretty sure Subaru defeating the archbishop and the white whale are well known to people even the knights that fought along side with Subaru. They even made Subaru as a knight at the royal capital. Those accomplishments were pretty big deal. How would they not know?

@ Did you forget It was Subaru who manage to take down the white whale. Not Reinhard. That was a big deal because the knights wanted to that for years. Subaru made a big name for himself. There’s literally a lot of people that know Subaru. If watch you season 1 and 2. Village in the sanctuary knows Subaru. The higher ups and knights at the royal capital knows Subaru. Rosswal mansion with villages knows Subaru. Even the thief dude with a white hair knows Subaru took out archbishop. Plus Subaru had a whole year time jump. A dude with a track suit that has a loud personality. How can he not be recognised.
