Thank you Mr. Gideon Hanomansingh for your well researched educational and expansive history of our Republic of Trinidad and Tobago 🇹🇹. I thank you on behalf of the many ex-patriots of Trinidad and Tobago who have been residents of Canada before and since our Independence on August 31, 1962 and as proud unofficial Ambassadors of our homeland. Your remarkable, well documented and professionally delivered in the Hanomansingh way, is most appreciated and will always be remembered. May God bless our nation . I watched this documentary with tears or joy and pride never felt prouder, I've walked with my head high all my life always honored to be a Trinbagoian and today I gleam with exulant. I am from the generation of the phase ' the future of Trinidad and Tobago rest in the school bag of our child" I benefited from the free lunch and school stipend then placed by the father of our nation Dr Eric Williams . Trinidad and Tobago I love you bad, yes we have our issues as any other nations, poverty , crime and brain drain to name a few but we have overcome and remained strong, we have made accomplishments that most nations can only dreaming of: we are the wealthiest country in the Caribbean the third richest country by GDP (PPD) per capita in the Americas, after America and Canada, in 2011 the OCED removed TnT from the list of developing countries . However we are not blind or are we wearing blinders neither are we wearing rose petal glasses, as there remains much to do , but the foundation has been set and we are building. I'm thrilled beyond words that I ran across this documentary so that my American and British born children and grandchildren can be proud of their heritage and know that i'm not telling "anansi story". I AM PROUD OF OUR ACCOMPLISHMENTS AS A NATION AS A PEOPLE AS I HOLD MY HEAD HIGH AND ADDRESS THE WORLD I AS A PROUD TRINBAGOIAN ...

Beautiful island indeed! The ancient mythological history of the Fountain at the start of the history of Trinidad and Tobago, captures, important truths worthy of meditation. The fountain is found, in the memorial meditative chronological history, of the descendants of Magog, (Genesis 10:2) of wich, Hesiod and Homer are ones. From these ancient greek myths, that were created, as a matter of fact, during the the rebellion of the Tower of Babel 2270/2269 BCE, is born the alchemical, Melusine siren representing in Alchemy, ENLIGHTENMENT, the siren of the Philosophers. Alchemically the two tails represent the union of earth and water, body and soul, and Universal Mercury represents the Mind, ( abraxas, a harpy with two tails ). Other two tailers are Harpies, Triton ( a two-tailed merman ) Scylla, HIPPOCAMPS, and Charybdis who transformed himself into a whirlpool. Finally, the ancient Greeks considered their oldest poets and Rhapsodes to be Orpheus and his orphic writings and Musaeus of Athens, Hesiod and Homer. Of course, this cannot be compared to the Creation account of Genesis. independence morning 2020. He wasn't so grand. Found us and left us THIRD WORLD. _Drowning in petrodollars._ 1980 article @t - 'Money is not the problem' Trinidad and Tobago's austere Prime Minister Dr. Eric Williams once remarked in an unguarded moment he would probably rather forget. But take oil away from both sides of the account and the result is a *horrifying deficit.* Imports run at a level almost seven times the country's exports. *Trinidad is a massive food importer, while agricultural production for local food and exports is in steady decline. *So is production of vital materials like cement and bricks. Even the assembly industries that still form the backbone of the manufacturing sector, from cars to appliances, are flagging badly.* The idea has been and still is to use oil wealth to finance swift industrialisation along familiar Third World lines, to expand manufacturing and eliminate dependency on a single export like oil.
