Sadly in 2024, Trinidad is a land of high homicides, crine and corruotion. Makes me sad to see how wonderful our country was 30 years ago. A d tgere seems to be no recovery as crine spirals out of control.

Imagine having a sugar cane market producing your own to now import ? Who does that what govt ? 😂 Also why lease the asphalt to an outsider 😂 for 99 yrs while the country roads are full of pot holes what idiots run the country? Backward and now corrupt, gangs and no change, only hatred and greed, and more crime , the govt likes it this way a bunch of idiots.

My islands of sun and hummingbirds, Trinidad & Tobago from 1950-1970.This excellent documentary brought back some of my happiest memories of formative years in the West Indies. I can only dream of the possibility of a return visit some day and see what has become of the places where we lived:-Carmody Road, St Augustine,; Central Experimental Station, Centeno; Waterloo Estate Carapachaima; Brechin Castle Estate, Couva.

Most of these comments by individuals are very delusion are still sleeping they expected the country to remain the same seems upset of the present state of the country When in fact most of them are run aways did very little or no contributions to T&T has to except the challenges the negatives as well as the positives ; no country would remain the same after 43 years i may not be happy about some things in society and how some things are handle but it's happened in every single country sadly there will always be persons who's not the majority making claims but dont contribute to making a better society usually keyboard warriors with self-proclaimed national pride

Love seeing British ‘beatniks’ - these guys are proto hippies, though. They take inspiration from US folk music, but they’re also influenced by progressive thinking from Europe, I’d bet. The fashions are amazing, the haircuts are great.
