RARELY do pharm professors know how to break down in a way for medical students to understand. you make it so easy to follow along and actually understand. THANK YOU!
@annaflores43223 жыл бұрын
I am honestly loving the cardio pharm. The images, knowing locations, enzymes, etc makes a world of a difference in understanding why it behaves that way and how to use it! Thank you so much for these! I hope you start a full pharmacology section, im sure many soon to be doctors, nurses and pharmacists will appreciate it.

@Ahmad-ps9zh3 жыл бұрын
@@capgains A PA is a cheaper and easier admission alternative to the healthcare field with a respectable salary (around 100k) versus the much more expensive route of med school and residency.

Can you please please please help me to understand the possible reasons for very low platelets. Was noted this June yearly blood test. (Monocytes slowly increasing over last 2 years also.) Prednisone course did not help with platelets. Rituxan 4 weeks infusions never raised beyond 89k, since then labs showing platelets steadily going down. Had bone marrow biopsy revealed no abnormal cells. Had miserable side effects from Rituxan , and Promacta is now next drug suggested and I’m affected by the anxiety this is all causing me. I am 78 year old active female . Please lay out your explanation with a video about this problem and the “mechanism of action “ that might help me gain some understanding , and how someone with thrombocytopenia can be helped. You are so amazingly thorough in your videos.

From RN perspective, is there a way for me to remember which meds should be held for which ops? Eg should the pre-arthroscopy pt stop his DOACs? Should the pre-endoscopy pt for potential polyp removal stop his 81mg daily ASA? Should the pt on medium-term LMWH for DVT prophylaxis stop (how long) before her planned hysterectomy? Et cetera. I realize it's not black and white but if I could anticipate by drug category a/o indication a/o intervention what the 'rule of thumb' would be my pts could only benefit.
