Ninja Nerds!
Join Professor Zach Murphy in this lecture where we begin our discussion on the development and embryology of the gastrointestinal tract. We begin this two part series by learning the embryologic foldings of the gut, and how we derive from that the foregut, midgut, and hindgut. Additionally, we begin talking about what makes structures intraperitoneal or retroperitoneal, and how structures within the abdomen are further divided into primary retroperitoneal, and secondary retroperitoneal. Finally, we touch on a few pathologies that tie into our discussion including omphalocele, gastroschisis, and Meckel's diverticulum. We hope you enjoy this lecture and be sure to support us below!

You make things so straight to pierce right into brain. When I first came across few of your videos, the duration haunted me. But when I tried, I found that these videos actually saved a lot of time and effort. Ninja Nerd is on top of my list when I need a video lecture for some topic. I am a medical student in Pakistan and there are a lot of ninja nerds around here.

U are fantastic sir 👏 . Actually to say, there are no words created for your appreciation. No one can be better than you in explaining integrated biology. You have the true interest in learning the subject rather than telling in the MBBS syllabus fashion which most teachers do actually because they don't tend to explain students for subject but complete just their job of working hours😔 and exams
