I have a doubt, it's from meiosis topic though like in mitosis metaphase the cell separates sister chromatids which zach sir explained very well. But in meiosis I how does the cell know they have to separate a homologous chromosome? How does the cell do it? Like there can be a possibility where again sister chromatid of homologous chromosome are separated but that does not happen how so?

Just for clarity, Mitogens and Growth factors are not the same. Mitogens stimulate the rate of cell division, where Growth factors promote cell growth (and thereby the increase in cell mass). So watch out not to mix those words up, all depending on the level you're on.
