Thank you for being such an incredible professor!!! In the time of corona and how a lot of professors aren’t taking the time to really teach their students... you taking the time to make detailed videos like this is everything that has saved my anatomy grade! Looking forward to watching more of your videos!

You have that skill of grabbing someone's attention and laser beam their focus on the topic being explained. Thanks mate, all your videos are super helpful.

please keep in mind that slow oxidative muscle fibers are recruited first due to their size and large electrical resistance (V=IR) which cause threshold potential to occur prior to other muscle types that have lower resistances - ref size principle of muscle contraction

Question.. I've always done strength training and no aerobic training. I've recently started running. Low HR MAF training. Have done 30+ runs in about 35 days. I know we can change the amount of Type 1 and Type 2 muscle fibres by doing certain types of exercises. This week after doing my regular strength training I was so sore! Immediately! Could this be because I have slightly reduced the number of Type 2 fibres in my muscles and the reduced number are having to work harder to lift what I lifted before??? I.e. If I increase Type 1 by 10% and reduce Type 2 by 10% and lift the same amount of heavy weight the Type 2 will have to work harder? This is what it felt like!
