Access is a real issue with most small kubotan. Trying to pull one out of your pocket, especially if keys are attached, may take too much time (based on experience). A clip (as with a tactical pen) would be a big help. Otherwise, you should probably already have the kubotan in your hand. A smooth, oblong rock or any solid cylindrical object could be equally useful.

I'm surprised, you blocked in ukki nagash with the blade, aren't you supposed to block with the back of the sword to avoid damaging the sharpness of the blade?

I have a question. Is this true? (and if it is, do you have/could you make a video about it) I have heard that ninjas wear their swords on their backs to roll and climb with them (because the normal position on the belt would cause it to fall when climbing and doing parkour stuff), and that they draw them by pushing the bottom of the scabbard and pulling it back wen drawing the sword. Another position is on the waist horizontally , but behind the ninja's back.

Sami Suhonen i have seen this in a demonstration and I think they would have used these methods for the right purposes so yeah

Yes horizontally on the waist at the back when not in use, it can easily be slid to the side when ready to draw. Keeping it horizontal is for balance.

We train to be able to move naturally in any situation. The pulling of the scabbard comes from the fact that the katana is too long to draw straight out. By slamming the scapulas together(not in a damaging way, but with force) you are able to clear the sword from the scabbard quickly and in a much more efficient and useful way. As far as rolling goes, we roll in training with weapons in the belt and learn to pick them up while rolling.

Nice video. The only problem I had with it, is that you named the drawing cut as Nukiuchi (sudden attack which is the name of a waza) when it's actually a Nukitsuke. But other than that I quite enjoyed it.

is the Sword art of Ninja or samurai almost the same? or huge difference?
@Dentinho21

There are some diferences, but you probally can see that in a Bujinkan Dojo, 'causa we training both together (at least in the dojo where i training). It's important to say that "Ninjutsu" is just a nickname for the Bujinkan martial art, we training a "Budo Taijutsu", 9 diferents tradicional schools of japonese martial arts, just 3 to be a "ninja" schools and we have some samurai schools too. I hope I have helped you =)

Dark Silver ninjas were assassins therefore their swords were a lot shorter and their martial art style was more concentrated on sneaking in or fast eliminaltion where as samurai used their swords as a symbol of power. they trained sword fighting but rarely used them for personal combat

Ninjas were mostly spies, not swordmen or even assassins. Bujinkan stopped calling themselves ninjutsu because it's a lie, they don't have a proved lineage with any ninja ryu
