the real issue here is that "are you a sex worker?" as a cop can be escalating. if the other person doesn't know sex work is legal, it seems like hes about to detain them. not realizing that the context of the situation can be construed by the other person that way. and it did lead to an escalation in the shootout. its unfortunate. need to follow through on consequences RP if there are to be consequences.

so because he was misconstrued and got shot, now he deserves further punishment AND the inability to become chief? this was sad and dumb, honestly thought this was exactly what Nino wanted to prevent from happening to officers, then he went and did it himself. being ignorant of the law shouldn't lead you to shoot cops, and being ignorant of someone's intentions shouldn't get them in trouble. circumstances matter, and in this case, we've ignored all of them as a means to stop him from being in command.

@@RPanda3S difference in opinion, I guess. I wouldn't call that a quality political move, instead id call it someone having a change of heart and scrambling to make it work. I don't see the situation as a blunder on the officer's part whatsoever, they just decided to use it as one. The development isn't that interesting and putting credence in the situations that followed because of it shows your poor taste in rp. blowing things out of proportion is common everywhere, and only leads to disappointment and confusion. seeing that here doesn't bring me to the edge of my seat, it leaves me disinterested in what's to follow. Why care who's going to be chief if he's just going to find another bullshit excuse to "spice it up". Could have let it play out further than telling him he's out, that would have been a much better chance for roleplay.

yeah, this was dumb, people are just searching for a reason not to let him in. Nino allowed this to be the straw that broke the camel's back. if this wasn't ooc than Nino is just using it as a way to change his mind in character because he had a change of heart and doesn't want to own up to it.

I think the point folks are missing is if you don’t have an ooc friendship with the streamer you’re calling a sex working certain edgy jokes won’t fly and they’ll get offended especially if they don’t know you. It’s pretty simple.

I'm tired of people trying to spice things up more than they can even handle, then using it to ruin another person's experience. snowflake rp is garbage to begin with, but he didn't even deserve it. as far as I'm concerned there was no edgy joke, they just misconstrued it that way because they wanted to. I agree though, it's very simple. they don't want this guy in the running anymore, and they're using this as their means to stop it. just because someone takes offense doesn't mean it was objectively offensive and should be used to dismantle someone's aspirations and livelihood.
