I know it is all about Garbo, but it's really Melvyn Douglas who carried this film. He has the impeccable comic timing, and every nuance of his acting was perfectly captured in this scene. Joan Crawford once said, if only Melvyn a bit younger looking and more handsome, he would be "THE" lead actor of 30s, such an underrated actor during his prime!

Garbo is amazing in this !! The male lead sucks unfortunately. If they had matched her up with someone else to provide that dramatic sexual tension, this would have been a much greater movie. As such, it was still really good just with garbo's presence.
