Awesome! I never knew Marc Almond covered this! I've been a fan of his for years, as well as a major U2 fan, but within one minute of him singing this song, Marc's is now my FAVORITE version of the song. And it's hard to beat anything U2 in my mind, so great job Marc! This is awesome! Thank you ninstop222 for posting this! It might be the best new song I have heard in all of 2023 as the year is almost over (sorry, Cher and DJ, Play A Christmas Song For Me, but I love you to death!)

Normally when I hear this tune, the video in my head is a mish-mash of Vietnam films and news reels. This version changed that: back in my mental hole, asking myself whether it was worth getting up in the morning; knowing that if I decided to end it, the world would not stop spinning, my death would not change anything. I can look back now in a detached sort of way - maybe just as well I did not hear Marc's version of this back then.

I love Marc. Love 💞💞😻💞 vibes from Greece. Very underrated artist. Some people should be deaf. garbage like Miley Cyrus get millions of views in a couple of days, and real singers like Marc have not such popularity.

Marc is a consummate, all-around performer, period. He's also written many amazing songs, but he enjoys covering songs written by others, and "translating" them to fit what he interprets them to mean. This is one of my favorite songs since childhood, and Marc Almond is my absolute favorite artist, so this is a real treat for me. My mom introduced me to the Rolling Stones, and I later introduced her to Marc Almond...
