And might I add that Almond usually does just one take of a song. 'Say Hello Wave Goodbye' was a classic example of this. Many songs are messed so much that they have little to do with the original recorded sound.

I think this is a great cover, in spite of the argument about Marc's voice compared to the orchestration. Having said that, imagine what this would sound like with Freddie singing it...

What's really good about this cover is the orchestration. It's a real lesson in orchestration, that should be studied in the music departments. Marc himself doesn't deliver himself powerfully this time, in comparison with the dramatic arrangement. His voice is just too weak for this assignment. And I love him very much, still do.

Love many of Almond's covers but "Prayer" is definitely not among them - the song kicks off in an interesting way, but develops into an unimaginative mess.
