@@ritulmaoh the erroe will go away if you turn off "Wireless", although if you turn it on,the error will still so up,meaning that you won't be able to play multiplayer (both locally and online), won't be able to connect to WiFi,so no E-Shop and no game updates. The only way to fix the error (so you can connect to the WiFi),is to do what's exactly shown in the video,re-place your mis-placed WiFi card,that could possibly might have been taken out of its place from a fall. Thanks, this pointed me in the right direction. Removing and re-seating the wireless card did not fix this issue, but replacing the wireless card with a new one did.

@Kelsey R I got the one I used from a different broken 3DS I had. As far as I know the original 3DS and 3DS XL use the same wireless card and you should be able to find one on eBay for less than $10

I found a good fix in the meantime before repairing is just turning off the internet on the side. Did the trick for me while i try to get my hands on a screwdriver. Thanks so much for the video!!!! ❤

Your reward is in heaven. Been having this issue for months and was wondering why the wireless will always be on when it finally works. Lazy me couldnt unscrew the 2nd set of screws on my new 3ds xl, i just pressed on the back case hoping it will press the wifi card in place and it worked. It just came on instantly without the damn wireless also on and no longer crashing. God bless you.

Your Pokémon cartridge is most likely corrupted. Each 3DS cartridge uses NAND memory which requires power to “refresh” the sectors. The same thing happened with the Wii U where if you didn’t turn it on for a long time, the Wii U memory would corrupt itself. Some Reddit users have reported that leaving the cartridge on your 3DS and opening the game could prevent all this from happening.

I got this problem yesterday with my Alpha Sapphire game card. Wanted to start a new game and now it's dead suddenly. I am really sad about that and hope this could fix our problem.

@@TsubasaNovaMusic I tried everything I found, spent 3 days on it and all I got was 30 seconds of playable time before the game crashed. Ended up just using those 30 seconds to place everything in the computer and then using pokemon bank to at least save all my pokemon because I had a lot of them transferred from previous games in this. Sadly the game hasn't worked, I'll give it a bit before trying again but I'm not optimistic.

Luckily I put my mons on Bank before starting a new game. At first the error appeared as soon as I selected the language and started the game, but in the end I managed to pick my character and see the opening cinematic. After trying to get out of the van, the game crashes. I didn't manage to get past this point even after trying many possible fixes.

You may need to replace the card. Same method, jut with a new card. Should be able to find one on Ebay fairly cheap.

So I get this message popping up "An error has occured. Hold down the power button to turn off the power, then turn it on and try again. If the problem still occurs please contact your local customer support centre". I kept getting this message when I tried to play Pokemon Y on my 2DS (the last time I played Y was 2017 and this never happened before). I tried recently to replay it and I'm getting this message. I originally thought it was the console so I purchased a 3DS off Amazon. The game worked fine until about 10 minutes in and the message appeared again. I'm now starting to think it's the game that's messed up or the SD card, as it's the same on from the 2DS. That said I spent about 30 minutes playing MarioKart on the 3DS and the message never appeared, so I'm not stuck on what to do. Buy a new game and see if that works, or buy a new SD card and see if that's the problem. It's times like this I wish there was an X&Y remake for Switch. If anyone can help that would be great!

@@jostiin1 the pokemon Y game who did only run 200 hours maybe ( I did once play another file so ) is dead. Nitendo could not repair it. It run only 200 hours, most game if your are quite gentle they run multiple life times

hey, i tried this and had 2 issues, one was one of the screws got messed up and did not wanna come loose, so i had the ide of soldering some tin onto an small flat head screw bit in order to try to screw it out, but that did not work, so i melted the plastic around the screw with the soldering iron, and just bent it off, i got inside unplugged the Wi-Fi card and put everything back togheter exept the screw that was stuck and the exposed hole that i had to grind down a bit to close the top lid, i tested a game that got me the [hold donw power putton] issue again, tried to open and re-plug Wi-fi card 2 more times and still no luck, can i get a replacment wi-fi card or is this is? i also tried to disconect and have the Wi-fi card outside of the system, then it would not boot but it got power. any help would be greatful. cheers.
