I miss the Nintendo 64 era. Nintendo had Rare at their prime back then, the old Rare is sorely missed. They made the kind of games Nintendo doesn't make, but are still vital to a console library. Just imagine if the Wii U had an exclusive FPS series like Goldeneye 007 or Perfect Dark.

Say whatever you'd like, GoldenEye still holds up well in my opinion. Of course the graphics are dated (still look good to me though) but the gameplay is still amazingly fun...Conker and Banjo...Seems like the folks at Rare really knew how to make a lasting game. When the games foundation is good, not even time can destroy a classic
@TRJ22419879 жыл бұрын
This was my peak interest in video gaming, I was 10 years old. It just isn't even remotely the same anymore. These days were so groundbreaking and exciting, and it was all about getting 3 friends together for some split screen action. THAT to me was the peak of interaction and connectivity, NOT today's online community.
@jfitnesshealth9 жыл бұрын
+TRJ2241987 me too the mid 90s between the 2d to 3d transition had the best of both worlds with both sides taking inovation. I was the same age 10 going on 11 that year as well. im assuming your 30 or 29 years old now like me lol
@tenacious6459 жыл бұрын
I don't know man. I mean I grew up with 4 player GoldenEye when it came out (I was about 8 around this time) and I even played Doom 2 back then too. 4 player split screen Halo and Halo 2 later on...All were fantastic experiences, and I wouldn't trade it for the world, but online multiplayer is extremely fun. I love playing some Battlefield nowadays and Halo 3 in its prime. I even played Call of Duty online in 2004 when it came out. I love online multiplayer. I think the problem is they go all cinematic and blockbuster with it. Quicktime events and such (as far as single player is concerned) but the main offense is them eliminating split screen from these games. If they made split screen and co-op a must in all multiplayer games, that would take care of my main gripe regarding multiplayer...I will say, to this day, GoldenEye holds up extremely well to me. I still find the graphics pleasing, and the game play is amazingly fun...Maybe its because we were kids when that type of gaming was in its day, we look back and remember fondly, and yearn for those days and what made them great out of nostalgia?? Anyways, I'm not trying to shoot down your opinion at all, because I agree, but today's multiplayer games are still fun. Again, videogames seem to lose their shimmer when you're an adult ya know?
@canadianbandi69588 жыл бұрын

Nintendo was loving life back then, and rightfully so. Rareware gave them a hell of a ride on the N64. And to Nintendo's credit, they made quality games back then. Its amazing how far they've fallen since then. I love all these old N64 games. The shovelware crap they put out now is a far cry from this stuff.

"You want an M-rated game? Here's your M-rated game." And Conker was never the same again. . . Yet, somewhere out there in the vast sea of endless universes, some of those actually got Conker's Quest, the E-rated one, and in some of said universes, the game is ironically even better. You never know.
@Delta2255 жыл бұрын
In yet more universes, what's considered terrible game design in one universe is completely acceptable in another.
@customsongmaker4 жыл бұрын
The concept of alternate realities is a mathematical fallacy. The idea is that if there are infinite universes, then every possibility must exist. But that's just not true, since the set of all even numbers is infinite without containing every possible number. So even if there are an infinite number of universes, that doesn't mean any of them are anything like ours.
