Also your comment on the end about the action, I like action rpgs, it's just the stories and characters in all of the action rpgs seem to really suck. I hate turned based, but I love persona series and I like the gameplay in tales series, but yeah I liked berseria, but newer tales games are pretty meh and boring. I was really uninterested in the newest one. I'm a huge fan of farming games and I always love more--as long as they are good, and bring a lot of new things and more playable content goals things to do and story to the table. A lot of people mistake those types of games for 'we can do minimal effort, have a rinse repeat mechanics with nothing more, staple farming sim on it, and it's done' Stardew stood out because it brought a lot of new things and a lot of activity of things to do, and things you should switch up. New games past stardew should be bringing those expectations and more to the table, way more. But a lot of games are doing less and thing it'll be a hit with little effort. I'd love to see some action rpgs that make me interested in their story and characters. I have a difficult time getting attatched to the stories in a lot of games these days.

I guess it's a trade off between writing & game mechanics, for some teams. I like both turn-based & action RPGs, but often the behind-the-scenes about a game will turn me off it completely. There's definitely some satisfaction in tilling the ground, Just about all the farming games shown have a scene of a character swinging a hoe to till a square of their farm, to show off that they've really mastered that part of farming gameplay. I think if we get around to making some kind of game together, it'd be closer to Fantasy Life, and of course Stardew. Some good adventuring for players who want adventure, some cozy-comfy stuff for players who are more into that, both of those things optional so players can just do what they want, and online play of course so they can share whatever they get with each other. I'm really aiming for To Many to be that kind of action RPG, I feel like "adult appeal" encompasses having likeable characters that you want to see grow and develop. The subtitle for "To Many - Future of the World" is a little inspired by Xenoblade, which originally went under the title of "Monado - Beginning of the World". The Xenoblade series probably has the best character writing of any RPG, since they went into the series with that as one of their primary goals.
