+B.O.A.B No Wii U was the bad console. Wii had massive sales BUT the attatchment rate for it started dropping faster and faster has more and more ways to play casually, most notably smart phones, gave Casuals a way to play games without a console, as time went on.

Okay. Random xenoblade chronicles fan here. I think the choice they made for a trailer really shows this is going to be an actual Xenoblade Chronicles sequel, not a Xenoblade X. Nothing against X, but let me get into it. Instead of showing a huge flying mech explosion shooter hype trailer, with an equally explosive hype track. They chose to do a much more. "Hey, this is the world we're setting you in. Here are a few details about the various races and cities, along with political status. And here are some of the basic mechanics." It's clearly more focused on the story, which, is one of the reasons the first Chronicles was so incredible and X wasn't quite there. TL;DR I'm super fuckin hype and I really think it's gonna be a solid sequel to a perfect game.

Love Damiani's reaction to Doom. idTech 6 is basically Black Magic. You can get great performance on Ultra settings on some very old cards, so Switch will probably run great too.

Portable doom. I don't give a damn about visual fidelity as long it have stable framerate.

Doom perform incredible well on low end pcs. They should be able to hit 60 fps with alright graphics (obviously worse textures and worse draw distance).

In terms of CPU and GPU power the switch is barely more powerful than the ps3 and xbox 360, but the limiting factor of those consoles was the small pool of memory. The 4gb of ram on the switch is a huge advantage over the last gen home consoles, and will allow for more complex animations, higher res textures and bigger worlds compared to anything seen on last gen consoles. Plus, the API and game engine technology has advanced a lot since that time. Games on switch will come very close to ps4 and xbox1 level of graphics quality during the last couple of years of the switch's lifespan once devs will have mastered it's architecture.

I always fall on deaf ears (or ignored) when I bring up motion aiming but Resident Evil 4 House of th Dead, Infamous 2, Bioshock, Sin and Punisment, have great motion aiming, and I hope Doom and Wolfinstine have gyro aiming as well.

Why do people keep that assuming EVERYONE has played Skyrim and that it therefore has no audience anymore? Yeah, I get it, it's an old popular game, but no, not everyone has played it. How many lapsed gamers got back into gaming after tuning out for while? How many people simply ignored it because they weren't into the genre/art style/whatever then, but are more open to it now? People who, for whatever reason, just didn't have access to it in the past. And it's not like the gaming community consists of the exact same people it did six years ago. How many millions of kids are now playing more adult games who were too young to play Skyrim when it came out? Add to that the people who will buy it again for the Switch because they want to play it portably, and it's a safe bet it'll sell insanely well yet again.

What do you mean "They need to get their act together before the Switch Pokemon game."? Did you forget how that announced X,Y, Sun and Moon when it was first announced, they went all out. Ultra Sun and Moon are basically the same title like Crystal was to Gold and Silver. What was released for Switch was PSO2 Cloud. It's basically streaming-based.

Persona is already too associated with Sony consoles, while Nintendo is more with the mainline Shin Megami Tensei series. It's just not happening anytime soon.

I have to say with Xenoblade Chronicles 2 half the time it looks like I am playing an amazing game and the next it looks like I am playing 3ds game. no idea why.

Doom on the go. Why the fuck not. I am sold on Xenoblade 2, but the English voice acting doesn't seem great. I can always shift to Japanese if it bothers me (I assume). I also think the game could really use some polishing in certain areas - it looks great most of the time, but with a few places it looks a bit rough. Still, can't wait to jump into a big and substantial JRPG on the Switch.
