The nintendo ds was the first nintendo consule i ever play and new super mario bros was the first ds game i ever play it was the game that started my life as a mario fan the ds was part of my childhood i really miss those good old days

It's actually genius marketing if you think about it. Kids are too young to catch the innuendo, but it immediately catches adult's attention and they can crack a smile and not feel guilty getting the system for their children anyway. Plus these were pre-launch commercials, clever way to get people's attention and let them know Nintendo has something new and innovative coming.
