Hello Mr Mitch I have damaged some of the zif connectors FA1004SA1-R8000 of my new n3ds xl and someone said this connectors can be replaced with the same type of the low screen connectors you used here. I would like to know if you think is extremely necessary to have a hot air station or if I could repair this just with a normal soldering tool. my man, you part getting stuck to the tweezers and you having such a hard time lining it up was giving me major 2nd hand anxiety. too many times ive been in the same situation and ooof. Best thing to do is to completely clean off your tweezers bc the residual flux on your tweezers are making them stick. man its like arranging hairs, its so small

idk why i didn't think about using the heat gun on the back (thats what youre doing right?) i melted the new connector on my first go with the heat gun 🤦‍♂️

Hey, it works on a Wii U too. I did melt the connector getting off. The new one I think I got lucky with my iron and it went right on. No heat gun. Thank you so much.

My 2ds xl ZL button connector break (shattered) and now i have to tape my zl button connector using tape. Currently my zl button cauae my console to abruptly shutdown, can you teach me how to attach the connector?

If the connector is causing the console to shut off there's likely another issue going on. Without seeing the console in person it would be difficult to say I do not work on those ones often.

Great question; I haven't opened a 2ds so I'm not sure. I have seen the touch connectors on ebay though for the ds lite.

@@MitchCairns I'm buying a Ds lite for 25$ the lady said the touch screen is not working so I don't even know if the p6 connector is the issue. Do you know of any other reasons it might not be working? Like maybe a good cleaning would fix it? At the worst I'll make it a macro. Thanks again for helping me out

Hello I had a question I have a DS lite and when I try to turn it on green light turns on for a quick second and top screen just flashes. I checked all the fuses already and also replaced both screens and still keeps doing the same thing do you have any ideas on what it could be ?

If you haven’t found the solution. I’m pretty sure this means either a faulty screen or that either the white mic cable is not connected or the black cable to the wifi antenna is not connected.

@@omnom6934 thanks I’ll try and make sure that both black and white cable are connected. As far as the screen being bad I tried different screens and no luck the top screen still just flashes
