Nintendo showed nothing this year so that they can hype next year. They said they would delve into the NX next E3 and will ride that hype with an abundance of titles that fans have been dying for (i.e. Zelda and another Pokemon with the potential of Metroid). And then use these titles to carry on the life of the Wii U until their next system.

The only BIG Mario game that I can think of that they're talking about is Super Mario Galaxy 3. We know it wont be for Wii U, because Nintendo confirmed that they will NOT announce anymore big announcements for the Wii U.

The only thing that was jaw-dropping to me was the new StarFox and Paper Jam, but the new Mario and Luigi game was already expected.. Sure, I'm CRAZY excited for Mario and Luigi: Paper Jam, but a new Mario and Luigi game was already expected to come out in 2016. Sure its a crossover, but I'm sure we were all expecting a new Mario and Luigi GAME anyways. So that leaves it to StarFox being the best comeback for Nintendo.

In my honest opinion, it was a pretty good Digital Event. Nothing great, nothing spectacular, but wasn't bad at all. I really enjoyed it and thought it went well! Not wowed by it, but not disappointed either. It was satisfying and I'm cool with that. New Star Fox, Paper Jam, Triforce Heroes (WITH STINKING ONLINE!!!!) and an Animal Crossing board game. Not to mention the games we've known of for a while being Super Mario Maker, Xenoblade X, and Woolly World. I am SO ready for the rest of this year! I don't mind Nintendo lost E3. They win enough of the time so it's cool. Lol Edit: If I didn't mention a game it's 'cause it's not what I'm really looking forward to.

for someone who doesn't own a Wii U (yet), having Hyrule Warriors for the 3DS is great! and having characters not in the Wii U version is great too. i've played my handful of games like this and honestly, the hardware can take it too.

i also think the reason they release the same games for other consoles is because not alot of people don't have the cash for both. heck! i only own the 3DS (again, for the time being) and it makes sense: the Wii U is expensive! and having games like this and Donkey Kong is great.

The reason I think Nintendo didn't really go all out is because unlike Sony and Microsoft, Nintendo has directs every month. For the other two companies E3 is there big chance to show off there games. For Nintendo this is basically another "direct" to them. That's why in a couple of months there will be much better announcements and also most likely why this presentation was lacking.

I'll be honest, in terms of games we wanted more information about at this event, it's.... meh. At least we got a trailer for Star Fox, an official release date for Xenoblade Chronicles X, and so forth. However, what really disappointed me about this event, and IMO, is the biggest disappointment, is the lack of new game annoucements. The only "new" games confirmed are the new 3DS Zelda game, Metroid spin-off, and a crossover game between Mario and Luigi and paper mario (Didn't expect that honestly)... but keep in mind, those are 3DS GAMES, NOT WII U GAMES. Because of that, it makes this conference more meant for 3DS owners, not Wii U owners IMO. I'm pretty sure in future Nintendo directs this year, we will get new announcements/games, but come on, this is E3, a major companies big chance to announce more new games to bring in the hype. That might be why we mostly got developer stories. Sorry people, I'm a Nintendo fanboy, but this conference was a big disappointment just because of lack of new games!
