Not really. I just checked out the site, the music and writing are done by two other people, but one guy did indeed code, design, artwork and everything else.

It looks beautifull and funny, maybe the pixel art is been used too much by indie developers, but only 2 guys wouldn´t be able to do a good game with awesome 3D graphics, so they choose this 16 bit style, if not, these games wouldn´t exist at all, and I rather play a good game with charming simple beautifull pixel art and funny gameplay than play a generic triple AAA full of CGIs and little good gameplay. I think i´m going to give this one a chance, hope is not too expensive,

I might be harsh, but I think pixel art is overused and cheap (or at least for this game it lacks "life"), there seems to be framedropping issues and the gameplay mechanics do not seem to bring anything new. Forgettable.

I think it's fair to say. I think a lot of indie folks fall back on pixels because they aren't as artistic.

***** Pixel art is actually more difficult to pull off, and that's been stated by tons of indie developers. Even during the Video Game Awards, the developer of Before said that he wanted to start with pixel art, but it was a lot harder than he anticipated. It's not a "fall back".

***** Well it's relatively easy to make pixel art but it's not easy to make great looking pixel art. Although quite simple looking, the pixel art in this game is actually quite good. There's definitely intentional and stylised artistry going on there.
