Born in '88. Went from a clear GameBoy pocket to a teal GameBoy Color to an arctic white GameBoy Advance. The white GBA was easily my favorite. I rebuilt that childhood GBA a few years ago. It's now a clear deep purple with clear buttons and a backlit screen. I still love it.

My first memory of Nintendo Gameboy was a kid brought one to school and we all huddled around him as he played tetras. We were all astonished and amazed by it as it was nothing we had ever seen before.

Ha same here. Back then i didnt even had internet so checking reviews was really not easy. All the pictures i had seen of it before made it seem as if the screen was LiT! Imagine my dissapointment that it wasnt. I had a sega gamegear already so yeah...never the less after going back for a click on light i loved the graphics ^^

My grandpa used to work in Japan and during one of his trips there he bought me a white Game Boy Advance, and that was during the time it was just being released in Japan, 2001! And he sent it to me with the first Street Fighter game for Game boy Advance, i was 11 years old in 2001. Good times! Sad thing is that i sold it later when i got older, to get and save up some money for a Playstation 3 which i managed to buy, that was back in 2007! Good good times!

1:52 It came with these gold maxell batteries with Japanese characters on them. The only reason why I still remember them is because they were really good batteries. I just watched some videos and read the comments and they reported that these batteries still work and haven't leaked in all those years. Confirming that they are really good batteries.

Mine was in a worse condition that the one you got here. We bought these used. My brother's one was almost mint but mine had some scratches on the screen. I got a Glacier one too, later, that I bought loose in a flea market. Now I'm saving some money to buy a modded one...

Born in 89. Got a red GB Pocket as my first ever gaming device in December 96 (in red with Pokémon red) Got a translucent purple game boy color in 98 to play Pokémon gold in color. My home (American) football team the Baltimore Ravens use purple as their primary jersey color so it was a very cool color to have. I followed that up with one of these - a glacier GBA. None of those devices are functional anymore, but I still have them all. (Plus a ds lite if I ever want to play the old GBA games)

When I was 12-13, I saved for a whole year to buy myself a gba. In the meantime, the black gba came out, so I bought that one with Golden Sun. I still own it and it’s still one of my most precious possessions :)

I will always remember this system with a laugh cause a friend stole three of them, and I stupidly decided to take him back for more. He got pulled back in the store as he walked out, leaving me with them. I returned one to the store I worked at to get my first ever cell phone, one got stolen from me and I still have the third. The statute of limitations has passed so I tell this story now cause I love that thing I got many, many hours of play from it and will be modding it at some point in the nearish future so it'll be worth playing again. Neither of those stores even exists anymore either. Come to think of it cause I saw myself getting laid off - I do remember I stole mario kart super circuit for it cause I knew I was gonna get let go and I was like meh fuck em hahahaha

I remember at the time that i sold my gameboycolor with supermarioland 1 & 2 and used that money along with some spare money on my bank to buy a gameboy advance on june 23 2001, but i didn’t bought a game for it at the time untill late april 2002 when i bought supermarioworld for it, well to me the GBA didn’t actually feel all that nextgen at all, it did feel more like a upgraded GBC, untill i played v rally 3 on it,i remember playing games on it in the darkroom under a cf lightbulb ,it waa a nightmare but i kept playing on, playing outside was much better but i got to make sure to playing at the right angle and avoiding sun glare as well.

I was born in 1991 and i bought the purple color of this used at a flea market(circa 2003-2004 with my own money from birthday savings and money my grandma gave me from christmas etc. I asked my mom if i can get one initially and she told me to 'pretend' to have one.....and use my imagination to keep myself entertained.
