There is a glaring L with this app though, there’s no reason why the composers and performers shouldn’t be credited at all. It’s doing a huge disservice to them as artists. Also I feel the selection as a whole is kinda small, but I hope their updates aren’t slow as balls.

@@freeedleoI don’t disagree, but honestly I feel like most people who have the app have a Nintendo switch, and most people who have a switch who care about listening to Nintendo music probably have the online service. So I personally don’t see it as a big deal, but the option for a free version would be nice. My guess is that Nintendo doesn’t want advertisers on their platform

IMHO, Nintendo is going to merge all their little services together during the life of the next console. Switch 2, alarmo, all the apps, and whatever else comes out will be merged into a Nintendo equivalent of pokemon home that is the main utilities hub going forward.

Only for online members makes sense, plus their online is like $4 a month which is hilariously cheaper than other music streaming services so I don’t see the issue

Currently, I'm kinda mixed. On 1 hand, I find it kind of dumb. Like, why do I have to download a specific app just to listen to your games soundtracks. Other gaming companies have been putting them on streaming services for years, SO WHY DON'T YOU!?!? And on the other hand, I get it. It cuts out the middleman so customers can get from you directly. Also, you have full control over your music because I heard spotify will just wipe certain songs their library. And I guess it kind of streamlines it by having your entire catalog on one space. But that's just my 2 cents.
