I didn't forget it... :c Most people did, and I wish they didn't! It's a neat experience, and I wish Electroplankton got expanded on further with the 3DS. It would've been really neat to have everything be colorful with a little bit of new (literal) depth to it!

Damn, the 3DS woulda been a perfect fit! The 3D effect really would've really elevated it as a unique musical experience

Electroplankton has SO MUCH FUN as a kid. I adored it so much, it was just so GOOD. Even as a kid it ensnared my eyes, ears, mind and heart for HOURS. Haha, my parents hated it.

I saw this game in a huge list of DS games, and the cover really caught my eye. Thank you so much for making this short, informative video about the game! You covered the game and it's history in a concise but entertaining manner, so thank you.

This video and this channel in general is such a gem. I’m so glad I found this channel in my recommended. As one of the other comments said, the editing is great, the jokes are funny and the video is overall entertaining. Not sure why I haven’t seen this video sooner, but keep making vids! I’d love to see more content from you. (btw is there any other way to support you other than watching your videos?)

Thank you Ann, it means a lot that you regularly comment on my videos. I forget sometimes that my creations can resonate with people in a major way. I will probably do an update video soon, and hopefully can lay out some more content after that. As for offering support (very kind of you btw 😅), soon I'll be releasing my music for the first time! So probably by streaming/purchasing/sharing the EP once it's released. More details to come in the update video! 🙂

I still get this out to while away an hour, just having musical fun. I've introduced my grandkids to it, and my grandaughter loves using Volvoice to record insults about her brother... Have also sampled different Henenbow leaf arrangements into Loopy Pro for a multi-layered ensemble. Thanks for the well made video.

I remember having this game, I got it as an early import not for sale copy from my brother who (still) runs a Nintendo review website. It was such a fun piece of software to just play around with!

I appreciate this video being able to...explain what Electroplankton is, because I sure didn't know. I recently picked it up for the first time and toyed with it, but I was confused. It wasn't a rhythm game, obviously, which I expected. I expected it to be more like Wii Music, where you get to move things around and it will always somehow magically sound good. But this game didn't do that either. It was always so chaotic, and whenever I got something that sounded "interesting," I chocked it up to luck and happenstance. But I suppose from your video that it's more of a "vibing experience." Moving things around, seeing how the sound changes, and not listening for the "music" really, but moreso listening and watching and being encapsulated by the overall tone and vibes, and I think I can appreciate that. Solid video!

I love this game! It's so relaxing and fun to mess aeound with. I wouod call a lot of the experiences either experimental music or tech demos but it doesn't matter because it's an entire experience. I had this game when I jad a DS, before it broke, and when I got a DSi to replace it I found out the copy I got for Christmas was pirated when it wouldn't work! All these years later and I've hacked my 3DS and I can play it again and it's still as fun as ever.

It’s funny that Electroplankton didn’t sell well... because when I was younger and DS & PSP games were selling in stores and all the rage (especially because I’ve been a musician since forever), I’d have bought this in a heartbeat - I just never heard of this game until literally now. 2022 (one of the worst years in history). Sheesh. That’s a shame. This looks like an incredible game. They should’ve advertised it more and I swear it would’ve been a HIT. Anyways, gonna get this game for my DS now and play the heck out of it... maybe even use it to record an actual song! Seems like it could be amazing sampling something from it. I feel like it could create some really good The 1975-type songs, or maybe even some trippy sounding Hip Hop/Rap/Trap beats if sampled, chopped up, reversed, with an applied High-Pass Filter & the Lo-Fo effect added to it, etc etc etc... Glad they made a Super Smash Bros level out of its main screen. I’d have never known! This game absolutely deserves more clout. No doubt. 🙏

They sold the games separately in the DSi shop and I ended up buying Hanenbow for...obvious reason. The game is alright but my expectations were too high (as someone who plays rhythm games)

Tryhard sounds a bit harsh but I appreciate you backed that up with some actual critiques. This video was a big step in a new direction so I am aware that some aspects aren't as polished as they could be. I wanted to try adding jokes so I did, but I can totally see how they may need a bit more care in future. Thanks for the feedback 🤝
