The aesthetics look very nice. The thin nature of the kickstand worries me a little, but I do like the change on how the joycons attach to the console. All we need now is to know the hardware specs, and if the standard screen is OLED or not. I wonder if release date and price will be included in the upcoming Direct.

I hope we get release date. It seems it won't be till after June however because those events are not just in the US but global and they are going for a while. The original kickstand was pretty flimsy so I'm hopeful they learnt the lesson from that. I don't think it's going to be OLED though personally

The reason behind some titles may not be supported is due to the location of the IR being moved/removed. So we're talking 1-2 Switch and a few games with accessories like Ring Fit.

Is anyone else worried about the pin connector on the switch 2 for the controller? All it takes is one mistake, then you're buying a new Switch 2.

Joycons still look too thin. No hardware details, just a “yep it’s real and it’s coming.” The idea of removing the rails is something I’ve been saying for years. So glad they finally did it Can it stream from device in hand held or docked? Is Genshin Impact finally coming to the Switch family after nearly five years of silence? Customizable Home Screen? Better net coding? Battery life? What sticks do the new joycons use? All questions I need answered before even thinking of buying a new console. I would swear this was fan made guess work slop if this wasn’t on the official Nintendo channel. Because oh my celestia does this feel lazy as can be.

I had figured we wouldnt get much, I'm sure a full event will be scheduled where they answer all of these questions, presentation style. I was thinking about Genshin too, would be great to see that, Honkai, and Wuthering (I'm playing that right now) on the system too

It’s about damn time. Been waiting for this. Owning this on day one. Looking forward to the process of transferring all my current digital games over to this, then bequeath the older system to my brother. I hope Switch 1 & 2 owners can play each other online. Probably the Switch games that are not fully compatible with the Switch 2 will be those using the IR sensor, as it looks like the Switch 2 doesn't have one. I doubt most people will miss it. And at least Nintendo was gracious to all the KZbin channels with "Switch" in their name. You guys won't need to rebrand!

Just a direct date, so that's when we will hear about the games. Looking at the global events, they run till June so I don't think we are seeing the Switch 2 until after then

And yeah, the bigger size should be great. I've got pretty big hands and those original joycons were really uncomfortable (I probably got a Pro controller a week after I got my Switch, because it was so painful).

@@SwitchCorner I'm more a NYXI guy myself. Got a couple of their joycons for when playing undocked, as well as a couple Wizards and Warriors as I am a sucker for the Gamecube button layout (and it works surprisingly well for 95% of the games I play!). Otherwise, indeed the Pro controller is the way to go. My TotK-themed Pro controller has been my go to controller when I'm not using the NYXI Warrior.

Disappointed that no specs were revealed. Also that the joycons were flat at the back. I’ve currently got Mori switch controllers which sit in the hand perfectly. Unfortunately they don’t have rumble but honestly, it’s not a problem. For that Nintendo quirkiness, they could’ve made the console a clamshell design, so it could be bigger but smaller for portability.

Since Nintendo is a Japanese company the write the date as yyyy-mm-dd, but I am sure all the ads we get are from Nintendo America... so it is probably april :( Why can't America do dates normal lol

I think it looks pretty clean, I wish they had uploaded the trailer in 4K though so we could get a real good look at the game footage. I think with Nintendo though, first party, they will make games that are backwards compatible, atleast initially, too big an audience to leave behind

I think 4 months for first party games, and probably some of the heavy hitters from AAA studios, but I wouldn't be suprised if some studios started adding the logo to trailers. I just think it will be games that state coming soon as Nintendo won't want them revealing the potential console release window

They have nobody to blame but themselves, especially when they know from experience how woefully inept they are at keeping anything secret. @SwitchCorner finally indeed! I like the design. Simmilar to original switch but just better. I am a bit curious about the joycons though. Are they attached by magnet or is there some other mechanism hidden that will lock the joycons in place. Cant wait to find out.
