I swear if a DKC Trilogy HD collection doesn't get announced in the next Direct, @BlobVanDam you absolutely need to release this to the public under a different guise (in case of DMCA and stuff like that)!!!! The attention to detail in this INSANE, it's almost a perfect 1:1 replica of the original stage, and the larvae in the bg is even moving!! My only small complaint of this masterpiece would be that the colors are a bit too saturated and come off as a bit too friendly and playful, in contrast to the slightly desaturated original color palette which were a bit more dark and gritty. I'd love for you to tone that down a bit bc DKC2 is supposed to be a bit doomy haha

I never knew this recreation existed. It’s so cool to know that some artist at some point in time has DKC2 imprinted on them, just like it did for many of us, and they went on to practice their art for years, and then eventually used DKC2 as the basis for inspiration for an art piece that they would then share with the world.

This is the best I've seen of the Donkey Kong Country series since Rareware left Nintendo! Beats the Returns/ Tropical style and the music is still way, way ahead of its time whilst making the Banjo tuba/ trombone N64 music palette so incredibly out of place to this day.

I have a hunch and I hope to hell that I’m wrong. See. Rareware made this game and the other two in this trilogy. Rareware is owned by Microsoft. The whole reason why the GBA ports exist is because Microsoft allowed Rare to do them because Microsoft didn’t have a handheld console so they wouldn’t have made any money either way. It’s the same reason we’re not getting an N64 Classic. Rare made that console the success that it was and if Microsoft doesn’t get a cut of the profits from Nintendo’s success that occurred because of a company Microsoft now owns…. Well. You best believe somebody is going to be pissed.

This was a defining game in my youth, a game I grew up obsessed with to nigh fanatical levels and I am typically very critical when people try to do work like this. Apart from slightly awkward modelling here and there that doesn't seem to sit right with the action, I cannot find fault with this or any of the other levels I have just gone through. You've done this with clearly a lot of passion and love, I just wanted to say you did a job well done.

Every time these video come up in my feed a get so nostalgic and really wish Nintendo would just release this collection in HD. Easily worth $60 bucks and they would sell a ton. But it has to be a 1:1 remake. None of that newer DKC crap.

I love how the gameplay physics have seemingly stayed 100% true to the original in your HD remake. Nintendo would probably "fix" the game and make it feel super awkward/unfamiliar in the process.

Really, DKC 2 NEEDS to come out for the switch i would BUY THAT UP. BEAUTIFUL WORK!!! The one thing that is very important that i didn't realize until i played SPYRO was how disappointing it is for enemies to make completely different sounds. I wouldn't even care if it was the exact same with the remastered music
