Clear, concise video on beginning the Switch mod BUT if you want to avoid the Ban Police you will need to do more, much more starting with loading Atmosphere as the first level of defence. Otherwise your Switch WILL BE BANNED BY NINTENDO. The RCM loader has insufficient capacity for all the parts you need so start thinking about an SD card set up with everything you need.

hi my console is a possible patched one, while i inject the the jig the console stays out...the same with the rcm loader it blinks blue but nothing else happens, after that it takes a while to "power on" the console, does this mean my switch is patched and isnt cfw able?

Couldnt disagree more! Plugging my Team Xecuter dongle (Exactly the SAME as ANY other Dongle) in via Micro USB does NOTHING but charge it, no PC detects them as thats obviously not how they were made. This video is pointless.

FattyMuffin I’d you can download the files then there’s no reason you can’t. Just put them on the injector and your all good

I did exactly that, and it's not injecting Hekate at all. My Switch Serial is a XAW10112xxxxx Model : HAC-001 with no bracket. Is it possible that the latest Hekate is not compatible with my atmosphere?

I have purchased the RCM Loader and I, awaiting delivery. In the advert for the loader it states will work on any console prior to 2018. My console was manufactured 2016. So I've checked my serial number and the result WAS ITS PROBABLY patched. So most import my noon question could I brick my console if itsbeen patched even though its before 2018. It's best to download the latest version of whichever payload you're using and copy it to the loader.

@@matthewortega9868 The only thing that goes on the RCM loader is the payload to boot the switch with, nothing else. The RCM loader only takes the place of the PC in booting the switch, it doesn't store any additional files and is only meant to be connected to the switch when booting it.

Because this question was never answered properly or shown in the video, the answer is yes, you do. The payload zip file for what you are trying to boot has a bootloader folder inside it aswell. That part goes on the SD card.

no you need to get jiggy with it, and you can't take the joycons off of the switch lite in order to get jiggy.

Once the payload is injected and you're in CFW, can you take the loader out and then just put switch to sleep and charge, aka turning it off once in awhile?

Late but you can put your switch in sleep mode but if you completely turn it off you have to launch the payload again

Did you update the payload file?

Plug the RCM injector into your computer and then go into the Atomosphere/Hekate folder. There should be a file called 'payload.bin'. Delete that and replace it with the latest version of hekate. Be sure to rename the new payload file to 'payload.bin'.
