Curious, have you used a microscope for this? Or have you done it YOLO mode?

@@muonswitch I mean... clearly he's used a microscope. As with most compound microscopes, I also use one with 3 lenses. Two you view through and the top one is to mount a camera/adapter. While using it, that feeds to a monitor, computer or other device which you can record from. Which is what is happening here.

Can anyone provide a guide that tells you what you are doing? I have everything ready to go but what's the point of I don't know what the point of installing the cable reset point is for as well as if I need to do anything to the chip as far as loading firmware/software or if it's just supposed to work out the box

yes, thank you for the detailed and easy to understand video. This helped a lot. I also damadged the FPC connector that hides the battery connector. To fix that was an even bigger pain in the ass. Unfortunately my cartrige slot refuses to work since then wich makes stock nand a bit obsolete. I think it got damadged when I soldered the +3,3V but I could not find out where exactly. So I leave it as it is!

Glad the video helped. Check with multimeter fir any bridged connections or shorts. Hopefully you can identify the problem.

my flex cable allows me to solder the 3v but theres no copper on the flex to solder the ground pin to the capacitor. will that be a problem?

Okayyyy this looks pretty easy. I have some knowledge about soldering because I took an Electrical class back in grade 9. I think I could do this. Just waiting for my modchip. I would also be modding my Switch OLED but I’m scared about that. It looked so much more complicated

This is easy bro just done it on my lite just don't rush anything disconect the batery and use a multimeter to see if it soldered right and if there are no Shorts sircuits

I’m having trouble soldering the points I’ve done the OLed switch fine, I keep burning the solder point off the flex cable if you don’t mind me asking what heat is good for 60/40?

Usually 680 is good if you’re using low temp solder but you can go up to 700 just be careful. If you’re burning the flex cables then it’s definitely too hot.

Tip number one use a good iron like the Hakko or you’ll keep breaking and burning stuff

Hi, when i start up my Switch Lite, the LED on the Chip turns blue for a moment, then green and then blinks green a coupe of times. Switch boots up to normal OFW. Flashed the Chip to fw2.73.uf2 before the installation of the Chip. On the github page it says that after fw2.70 the Error Codes have changed. But they dont mention green LED Codes. What could be the Issue now? 🤷🏻‍♂️

Sounds like a soldering issue. Check your connections with multimeter.

@@Wayayeo what happens when I solder everything and the led lights up and the Nintendo turns on but the screen is black . Happened to me after resoldering the flex cable because I flipped the right side of it the wrong way .

Thats flux but you can also use alcohol as replacement but make it dry.

No clean flux can stay and protect components from corrosion but you can clean it if you prefer. If the area is too messy I do clean with a bit of isopropyl alcohol.
