I had both but ended up selling the OLED, as I would hardly play on the tv. And when traveling the switch lite is just way more lighter and easy to carry. I love my Switch Lite!

Im buying the switch oled soon. My best friends bought it before me and im a little jealous. I have a ps5, cool and all but its only a home console while switch is portable and home console at the same time. + my brother and cousins play alot more than me cuz i always forget about time and always forget to ADD a timer, so i decided to buy a switch to actaully play for once without feeling disappointed for not playing. (Sorry for giving you the yappachino order cuz im a long talker)

Both my brother and myself own the oled and switch lite since we share it. Since their are at times both of us want to play the oled i got my brother the lite and he uses it as his main switch with occasionally playing on the oled. Though i fear that he may get the joycon drift at some pint the system was worth it in his eyes. He used to playing handheld when growing up from the classic gameboy all way to the ds series and the psp & vita.

Switch Lite is the way to go! Picked up a switch lite today. Used to have OLED. OLED is cool but not portable enough for me :/

i wonder how many thousand comparison theres been about this and about many other things but one thing is sure. we not all have the same opinions. i have to disagree with you about joycons. it is much better habing the regular switch or oled than the lite because you can easily replace the joycons.

in term of portability and price, yes switch lite . i do own one. but , before this , ive used to play my friend switch v2, so switching from big screen to smaller as the switch lite, thats the only thing that make me kinda dont like the lite . and i like the oled because of its bigger screen , and doesnt need me to hold the switch in my hand near my face.

Games do look better on Switch Lite though. I've had both and I can really tell the difference. On the OLED you will notice games looking a bit blurry. On the other hand, on the Lite games look sharp and clear, due to higher DPI. Similar issue happens with my PSVita OLED. PSP games look better on a PSP console, because they run at native resolution & display size. I just don't use a PSP because I find it uncomfortable (the joystick sucks) So it all depends on your preferences... If you don't care that much about OLED displays and don't plan playing on the TV, the Lite is the way to go!

The oled is 100% better I don't know what you are trying to get at. Yes yes I get it. Smaller screen. Higher ppi, etc. etc. Doesn't mean anything because even at 720p res on a 7 inch display you are looking at an impressive 200+ ppi on the oled. So no its not blurry unless a specific game purposefully downscales for the sake of performance, in which it would look the same on all switches. Screen specs wise oled objectively wins hands down. Although I admit that the lite lcd screen is better than the v1 and v2 in my opinion. But don't confuse ppl who don't own a switch with such comments. Oled is the superior one full stop. If it fits you then get it, if not then don't.

@@61keys Well, I guess it's your opinion. Yes, on the OLED you can get slightly better colors and blacks, but I can really tell the games don't look as sharp as on the Lite. On Mario Odyssey I could see the pixels, it's the first thing I noticed when I got it, and I personally prefer sharper textures over saturated colors & great blacks.
@61keys4 ай бұрын
@adriatorres2918 no such thing as sharper textures, the render resolution is the same disregarding which switch you are using, that's 1. And 2, it's not opinion it's facts, it's specs. It's not stuff I'm bringing out of the sky it's how hardware works. I have an oled and a high end pc that I've built myself, I'm pretty sure I know what I'm talking about here. By the way I have no issue with you having an opinion, I have an issue with projecting misleading statements that might drive un-aware people to make decisions they might regret just bcz they were misinformed. In no way is the lite better other than it being cheaper and more cost effective. And those pixels u are talking about, that's anti aliasing and not pixels, bcz the oled screen is bigger, the lack of AA implementation is more apparent. Has nothing to do with pixels as all nintendo switches run at the same resolution.

@@61keys Ok then, according to you it's my opinion, right? Sigh... Just test it yourself. Try to watch 720p content on a 60-inch 4K TV, and then watch the same content on a 50-inch TV. You will notice it looks much better on the smaller TV. It's a fact that it's better to have a screen with a high DPI. Like it or not, Switch Lite is definitely a better option if you want clearer & sharper textures on games. Switch OLED only wins on saturated colors and blacks. I also have a gaming PC that I built myself and I know what I'm talking about. I wouldn't get a bigger monitor for this exact reason, or at least, I would make sure it doesn't have a low DPI. If you don't really mind that, it's ok, but don't spread misinformation. Some people like me, we do mind it. It's all up to personal preference. Just gotta say, blacks and colors on the Switch Lite are pretty decent too, but yeah, not as good as on an OLED display..

@adriatorres2918 bro I said u were right about the ppi coverage on my first reply, but I also said that in nintendo's case it doesn't matter as the ppi for the oled still exceeds 200 ppi at 7 inch 720p. Meaning using an even smaller screen wouldn't show any sort of change since the ppi is already that high. My ppi on my pc is 92, I believe, I have a 32-inch monitor at 1440p res. I'm just saying that the stuff u mentioned previously doesn't have anything to do with dpi as its render resolution related. As I said, you see the jagged edges more bcz of lack of AA implementation. Nothing to do with resolution or screen size at all in this case you know what I mean. Disregarding all of that, I do believe lite's screen is better than v1 and v2, considering you want to main in handheld. And I do understand your "smaller screen meaning sharper images" argument and theoretically u are right, but practically not, especially not in nintendo's case bcz we are dealing with really really small screens. Making a small screen even smaller wouldn't give you that "high ppi" effect bcz the ppi is already high to begin with I understood your claim but did you get what I'm saying?
