Nice work Mitch! Nice video! A recommendation in the future is to go back and forth on all the pads with your iron when tinning , think what was giving you trouble was you where not delivering enough heat dealing with them individually.

I think you're right, my temp was also set a bit lower (360c) which probably worked against me with how thick this board is ☠️

@@MitchCairns ouch, definitely, my primary irons are at 450 C for any console board including the Switch.

Thanks for the video! Did you use the heatgun to preheat? I have to do this procedure and i dont know if i should buy some kind of preheat station or if i can simply use the heatgun.

How do you keep the part from being blown away?

He applies the hot air on the bottom side of the board (hence why we don't see the tip of the hot air gun in the video)
