You must be a professor. You definitely have that ability that many don't to keep me interested to the point where I've binged several of your videos. Your voice is absolutely pleasant to listen to and it's like an interesting history lesson (my favorite topic back in school. If only I had us history teachers that cared about the subject back in the day...)

I do happen to be a high school teacher. Thank you for your kind words and for watching.

@@yauy Man, i can't imagine having a teacher that's as into nintendo as you are. Do you ever share that with your students?
@yauy2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I mention that in my introduction during the first few days each year. Students have let me know they've found the You Tube channel, but I just play coy. I don't ever point them to it.

After growing up with the NES and SNES the college age came. In 2003 I got back into Nintendo with the GameCube, GameCube Game Boy Player, Game Boy Advance SP and was very cool to play the Super Mario Advance series and (was) A Link To The Past.

Sounds familiar... 😁

Also I had the original Game Boy. It was cool to play SNES games on the Game Boy Advance with the much smaller cartridges. Thanks for the great videos.

For 19 years, after the Game Boy Advance SP came out when I was a high school during my freshmen year, I wasn't interested of getting this. This was an upgraded version of the original Game Boy Advance. The SP stool for "Special". It plays all Game Boy (original), Game Boy Color, and Game Boy Advance games. I want to get the Game Boy Advance SP one day and add to my "Game Boy family line", which also include the Game Boy, Super Game Boy, Game Boy Play It Loud!, Game Boy Pocket, Game Boy Color, and the Game Boy Advance. I'm looking forward to all those.

Always loved my GBA SP since my siblings gave me it as a hand me down almost 10 years ago, such a sleek handheld - I own the tribal AGS-001

Omg I’m currently trying to get mine fixed. I have the same as yours. Mine fell into hot soup when I was like 8, but it still charges red. Doesn’t turn on tho. Idk how to get it fixed. I miss it so much.

PS. And ;) As I promised my grand reveal: my second best/favorite handheld console ever is Game Boy Advance SP. The range of that console is IMPOSSIBLE even by today's standards and it has every feature you need and ever wanted from any Game Boy Console. If you got any games for it you'll never get bored on the road.

I thought the original sp's lighting was called front lit.

Multilingual was more common for these products and manuals in Canada. Except it was mostly in just English and French. And I think Canadian games had two manuals. The English and the French and I know this from a KZbinr Nintendo Collecting

In my opinion I say the best way to play Gameboy Advance games is play it in the Nintendo DS or the Gameboy player on the Gamecube, or for more HD clarity Play it on the Retron 5, I hope they bring Gameboy Advance compatibility on the Polymega

The original version was technically a “front lit” screen, hence the poor contrast unfortunately

That's a pretty weird screenshot that they used for Pokemon Emerald, there. Big gaping snake mouth.
