Stephen being confused about an acrylic stand of the box art is kind of funny but also I can't believe I could tell it was an acrylic stand so fast.

Something about this video was just so entertaining and fascinating to watch. I don't watch a lot of unboxing videos but there's something so satisfying about getting something and getting to check out all the little parts. Also- now that this space is set up, maybe when Mal gets her next Hobonichi (sp?) package later in the year, she'll go through everything with this setup too

I wonder how many have taken the journey to know the shirt reference, or better yet, who was around following the vlog live back when that came out. That was such an era in time I am not nostalgic for! I felt like I lived in that dorm with you guys lol.

Thanks for sharing! It's always fascinating to see the regional differences between collector's sets.

There are many games I intend to import from Japan, this is one of them, as I'm usually not one for collector's editions and the Japanese version is a bargain. There is one other collector's edition I plan to get, this being Famicom Detective Club 1&2, as it is the only way to buy the cartridge. However, I can't rule out the possibility that a Nintendo Selects line may offer both of these cartridges without the collector's swag someday.

I live over here at Europe, Finland, and as far as I can tell, the only way to get the physical version without resorting to importing is to buy it from My Nintendo Store, which kinda sucks, but what you gonna do about it...

That is awesome. Hey, maybe it's a sign you should expand your content and try different things

I think both editions have their own fair share of equal values to have. Granted the Japanese version comes with the Famicom Switch Joycons is a bigger benefit for its value, but the NES with its gold cart too is a plus

Thanks for the unboxing video! Not sure if I will get the digital or (if still available) physical copy, but Nintendo could easily have included more (possibly rarer) games from their catalog into this: Donkey Kong Jr., Dr. Mario, Clu Clu Land, Gyromite (sans R.O.B.), Mario Bros., Mother, Pinball, Yoshi's Cookie. Unless they're planning DLC later… Would be interested in future unboxings. :)

NoA and Amazon seemingly haven’t been getting along lately for some reason so I doubt it’ll ever be on Amazon US. Could be wrong though.

Funny enough I picked up this game (and ttyd remake) today so seeing this hours after I unboxed mine is funny

1:38 arguably the most frustrating part of the game’s release besides not having a standalone physical copy available to purchase - opening the damn box!

Nintendo world championships: NES Edition is absolutely brilliant and fantastic oh yeah by the way Nintendo in the near future should make Nintendo world championships: SNES Edition and the 10 snes games that should be added on there is super Mario world, yoshi's island, legend of Zelda a Link to the past, donkey kong country, donkey kong country 2, donkey kong country 3, Kirby's dream land 3, super Metroid, star fox and star fox 2 now that will be really awesome and exciting to have those snes games added onto Nintendo world championships: SNES Edition.

I love special editions but only for important game purchases that I know I'll love enough to appreciate collectibles for. If theres a regular, reasonably priced physical edition I am way more likely to buy it, so their loss.

I've seen a KZbin channel called GameExplain cover this game. It looks pretty neat.
