I'm really glad Nintendo has been putting out so many Animal Crossing videos! I'd never played an Animal Crossing game before but these videos have really given me an understanding of it is all about. They have managed to get me interested in an entirely new franchise. It's finally releasing!!! :D Fan since the gamecube game which was one of my first games for gamecube which I got when I was four. 10 years later and I still have my gamecube with all my games and more.. all the stuff on the XL, you can buy for the normal 3DS(like a battery doubler for the 3ds) when ever they make an XL its tiny changes that are not worth it, just for looks. Like the iphone 5 upgrade.

(Rant not specific to anyone) If you're saying that playing certain video games makes you an adult, you need to rethink your definition of growing up. Most of the people I know who play Pokémon are over the age of 15, and most COD players I know are under 12. Having a healthy respect for all gamers is what really shows maturity. I myself play all those hard core games such as Skyrim and BF3 also. Having said that, I am DEFINITELY looking forward to this game!

XL is just a bigger version of original 3DS. So yes you can play this game on original or XL.

I wish that this game had a real Flea Market built in with WiFi. Like a place you could go where other players would be able to buy a table for bells and set out things they want to sell, and you could go up to them and buy things from other players.

Well in a sense retail is a flea market, but they haven't touched on everything in the game so who knows. but from whats implied other players can buy your items at retail, also the site says this, but I'm unsure if wifi is able to be used for that, or if it's like the auction house in city folk and people have to visit, but who knows.

My only one small, very small complaint is that I wish some of the furniture was more interactive. Like if you buy say, a bike (if they even have something like that in this game), I wish you could ride it instead of just displaying it in your house. Or if you buy say, a hamster in a cage (if that too is in the game), it'd be cool to take it out and play with it or let it run around in a ball on your floor. Still, definitely getting this game. :P

I've played animal crossing since I was 6 years old, but the point of the game is that it's for everyone. It is a kids game. But it's also an adult game. It's like... an everyone game! ^_^

Video games definitely aren't just for kids. I don't think kids could comprehend the amount of story telling and art that a game has these days. I doubt the first time anyone played Ocarina of Time when they were little that they paid more attention to the story and beautiful gameplay than they did to the fact that they were swinging around a kick ass sword and shooting arrows off a horse.

That really depends on whether you play the games to their full extent or just come and go to town everyday. Have you ever reached a perfect town? I think that's the point where you "beat" the game, though I've never reached it after years of playing City Folk, partially because I suck at the game.
