Can't believe people hated on this game back in the day. I was so hyped during 2014 - found the graphics to be utterly beautiful, the gameplay to be absolutely enthralling, and the massive crossover of TLOZ characters to be tremendous - so fantastic I'm surprised people weren't more hyped over that prospect.

Actually they do a lot of directs like this, but they usually come out just before the game. I can almost guarantee you all those three will have one. They done it for smash, W101, Tamadochi life, Pokemon, Mariokart, Pikmin 3 and others.

Why do they so blatantly ignore Majora's Mask and Wind Waker in this game? I mean so many people consider those two to be the best Zeldas. And I'm sure people would much rather see Skull Kid than Fi, or Clock Town to Twilight Forest. Just my two cents.

Every single Zelda is considered the best. So referencing every single one is kind of hard. And if you payed attention the moon is there... Albeit a bit smaller. And the obvious reason Wind Waker isn't mentioned is because it looks way different from any other Zelda game which would look weird in Hyrule Warriors. Another thing, there is more to this game that has yet to be revealed. So calm down. And I guess one other thing +Thesecrecy4 if people wanted to play MM, they would buy it on N64 or Virtual Console. No need for Nintendo to be like The Last of Us Remastered, Tomb Raider Definitive Edition, and GTA 5 Next Gen.

Nostalgia is hitting me like a truck man. I used to watch this Direct so much as a kid, and it's still brilliant to this day; aged like fine wine. 2014 was a simpler, more wonderful time - a better time. The Wii U era was always so exciting, especially from 2013 to 2015.

People complaining about their preferred character not being in (ex. Groose, Tingle, ect.), calm down. This game will get a sequel, or an Extreme Legends, I'm sure of that. If Gundam and One Piece can get sequels, (gundam having 2 sequels and I think a remake) Hyrule Warriors can do the same, and introduce more characters then. BTW, Cia, Valga, and Wizzro will also be playable, that I'm very sure of. They're weren't gonna reveal everything in the direct now. Also, calm down about the skins. why are many you raising a big stink over something that is completely optional? You care more about the skins than the game?

I like how even though it seems to focus on Ocarina, Twilight, and Skyward Sword, it still has references to other Zeldas. Wasn't expecting the Chain Chomp from "Link's Awakening" to come back in it. That made me smile.

I think that's the best way to utilise the game pad screen. Letting you use it for two player mode or if someone else wants to use the TV is really useful.

In my opinion, this game is worth every single penny it cost! They really seemed to try to cram everything to make this the best game possible in it's respective genre/lane. I'm HERE for it! Nintendo looks to be having a great year this year. So many great games coming and or have been released for the Wii U (especially), as well as the 3DS.

Skull kid would be an awesome addition, the toon versions would probably be too similar to their counterparts. Tingle would be an interesting character to see (kinda like seeing agitha make an appearance). The only transformation mask I would want to see is the fierce diety mask because A Goron and Zora character have already been confirmed

They've actually confirmed there will be no traditional voice acting in Hyrule Warriors, just the stuff you usually see in Zelda. The mouths just move to the dialog, like in TP and SS, which was most likely edited out so as to prevent spoilers.

Player 1 They do seem to be. One of the few good things about Skyward Sword (and I'm someone who actually likes it, I'll admit it was pretty shit), the characters actually felt like characters. Hyrule Warriors seems to be treating them as actual characters as well.

I went to the eShop because I knew there would be no spoilers. Last time, I watched the Digital Event on the eShop and the trailers were separated into other categories. Unfortunately, when I clicked the Hyrule Warriors Direct, I saw the words: GANONDORF AND A GREAT SWORD.

The game as of right now got a decent score from reviewers, so if you haven't buy it yet, it would be best to wait until the time of Christmas where most popular games are "On Sale" for a short amount of time. As of right now however, it's really expensive to buy since it cost an unnecessary $60 in stores. I rather buy it at like $40 instead.

CidTheNinja This game uses time travel I believe, and from what I remember, the games listed are the only games that have a place/thing directly linked to and named after time. Ocarina of Time and Twilight Princess both have the Temple of Time, and Skyward Sword has the Gate of Time.
