Nintendo imagine this, you convince The Pokemon Company to let YOU remake a Pokemon game to look like this, not necessarily use this Square Enix engine but at least give that Nintendo charm to the art style of the game, without mentioning the philosophy on creating a core good game not only looks, and then, just print money…. Remake games like Red, Gold, Emerald, Platinum or B&W. Edit: btw Game Freak needs a masterclass from Monolithsoft so they learn how to make a proper jrpg again.

Wait... I played the OG DQ3... Vocations other than Mage, Priest, and Sage didn't have skills. Those were added in the Zenithian Trilogy (I think DQ6) I'm so glad they added more skills and abilities to your party! Just having certain attributes (Martial Artist got more Critical Hits, Merchants could call shops on the world map, etc.) is so good!

Correct since DQ4 and 5 had FIXED abilities/spells only DQ5 had monsters you could capture but each one still has a fixed skill/spell list and a FIXED maxed exp since not EVERY monster in DQ5 HAD a max lv of lv 99 some had a max lv of 50 and others Metal Slime types a max lv of lv 20.

If they made a pokemon game that lets you travel to all the regions, that would be epic. The reason I loved Gold and Silver so much was how after beating the elite four, the Kanto region opened up and you could challenge the original gym leaders that were all a little older and more experienced.

Is there an option to swap back and forth between the original chiptune OST and the fully orchestrated one? I feel like I still prefer chiptune OSTs with this graphic style even though it's nice to have a full orchestrated re-imagining. Hopefully Chrono Trigger gets this HD-2D treatment, but again, retain the original OST as the SNES's sample based music was an artform in itself.

It's not a pitchfork. This was changed in Dragon Quest 8, and it has been a part of the series ever since. DQ 9 deals very heavily with religious themes, and it also uses this religious symbol. Calling it a pitchfork is like calling the Manji in the original DQ 3 a n@zi symbol. It's just ignorance.

You can start any dragon quest game in any order. But 11 has references from all of the games in the series, you might enjoy it more if you play it last

It’s an awesome series! Dq11 is the best place to start. Don’t worry about references to past games in dq11, they’re minimal and don’t take away from the newcomer experience. Another great starting point is dq8 if you can get a hold of it for 3ds. I hope you enjoy the series as much as I do :)

Character/Monster designs. Most notably for the female characters, of course.

Male and Female was replaced with Type 1 and Type 2. Some of the outfits kept certain censorship alterations that already existed in previous games.(Ex: Female Warrior having an undershirt and shorts and the Priest having a Pitchfork symbol instead of a cross.)

Chance male female to "body type 1&2", censored female warrior clothes, removed lips on one of monsters, removing puff puff.

A few clothes added on a few female characters (oh no, my bikini armor warrior has actual armor on her body now… whatever will I do…), a couple of redesigns on monsters, and changing the pick a gender thing to body type A or B. Most of the edits I’d like to state are A) very minor, and B) been a thing for several years now, and people are only now noticing and blindly assuming that they must be new. Literally don’t take any of the clowns bickering about the censorship and not buying the game seriously. They’re just blindly following what some idiot who couldn’t be bothered to do more than 10% of research said.

Not heavily. But male & female got turned into type a & type b. And the female warrior has additional clothing. There may be more.
