I don't get why people are dissapointed. A good sequel to a console should improve upon every feature present in the first. This is typical of what we see form PS3 > PS4, Xbox ONE > Xbox Series X, etc. The Switch 2 has improved hardware, improved joy cons, a bigger and higher resolution screen, 4K docked mode, and much more. Sure it looks similar to the first Switch, but it IS A SEQUEL. We aren't supposed to expect a total revamp to an almost perfect system.

I am personally disappointed because the Switch 2, like the original switch will be an underpowered, underperforming home console, and it's too big to be a good portable. It misses every single mark that I look for in a gaming system. I'll still probably get one because Nintendo is the only video game company that puts out games that are worth a damn, but I am still disappointed.

improved joycons? maybe, but i personally think that the way they are magnets might not be great, especially with the attachment in 1:52, the way its made looks like it could hurt my hand, the back looks good, the sides not so much. i dont know if thats how the current one looks since I dont ever use it and lost them (they were never comfortable imo). also i think when connecting the joycons to the switch it might end up cratching that little connector thing, and over time it might get damaged

I for one am excited! The upgraded joy cons - love how they attach to the new switch vs what we have now. The ones we have now have a chance to break or not work properly. Plus the drift in the one. I’m loving the new way - snap it in! Plus is looks better and more smooth and sleek that way (just my opinion however). Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, as a gamer who plays ark, I can say Nintendo will deliver better than wildcard does (alittle shade at wild card…if ya know, ya know).

TBF, since its backwards compatible, theres not much of an urgency to make Switch2 games immediately. Consoles also sometimes need to work out bugs when theyre first released so its less of a headache to not buy immediately. So I think getting the Switch1 now is still ok.
