Has anyone noticed the insane amount of love Kid Icarus: Uprising has gotten? Pit's new moves, 2 assist trophies (Magnus and Phosphora), at least two items (ogre club and x-bomb), all of Palutena's moves, and a different stage on each version all inspired by KI: U. I don't have a problem with it though, it's just kinda odd because the game is really recent.

What do you mean you doubt they would? Marth has been in every game since Melee. My opinion there is nothing stopping them from adding more and more characters (other than pushing back the release date again lol) But come on, Fire Emblem Awakening is brand new and was a great hit both in Japan and America, they have always introduced new characters when newer games come out before Super Smash Brothers.

***** thats not necessarily true, ya sure they both have blue hair and Marth's fighting techniques were passed down through generations of each Lord. But they dont have to make it that way. I say keep Marth a fast hitter, low damage, high mobility character. Ike a hard hitter, slow swinger, slower mobility character. And Chrom balanced right in-between Ike's power and Marth's power, and a bunch of unique moves of his own. (like the flip move he used against his daughter in Fort Ferrox)

It doesn't matter if its a 3ds xl in the pic , at the end of the day it's the same hardware, they can choose to makie it specifically for the 3ds xl. Same with the original gba and the gba sp and the original ds and ds lite.

The same hardware, but not the same "SCREEN SIZE". Watch a 4vs match, compare with a 2/3ds screen and tell me that isn't too small to play correctly. On 3ds XL it's limit, so on a half size screen (2/3ds) it's very limit.

Literally dying of anticipation for this game. : ) I HATE to nitpick, though, but... Has anybody else noticed that the characters' victory fanfare have been recycled from Brawl? I know it's such a minor thing, but... It's one of those little features that I look forward to in a new Smash. And to just recycle them from Brawl comes off as VERY lazy to me. The post-fanfare remix of the Smash 64 menu is awesome, though.

Anyone else think releasing the 3DS one first is a mistake? I just don't think it's going to be that incredible Smash Bro's experience we're waiting for on 3DS due to the controls... I'm just worried that will put people of the Wii U version after they sample the 3DS version and decide it's not that great on what is inevitable going to be the inferior version of Super Smash Bros... Don't get me wrong i'm buying it but i'll be upgrading to the Wii U version as soon as Nintendo will let me...

I get where you're coming from, but I can guarantee that there will be a considerable amount of people that will prefer the 3DS version solely for it's portability. And that's not even considering the affordability. Though, I still can see 1 in every 5 getting the Wii U version just so they can have little Smash Bros parties every so often, but the 3DS is still favorable in the aforementioned aspect.

That doesn't change the fact that releasing this version first is probably a mistake. I understand they want the game out in wild and the one that's closest to completion is the 3DS one but personally i think they should be released at the same time or the 3DS AFTER the Wii U version given Nintendo's current problems they just can't afford to have peoples opinions tainted by the lesser version. This is supposed to drive Wii U sales... Now i could be totally wrong maybe the 3DS one will be just as great as the Wii U version... in which case happy days just from what I've been seeing from the game it just doesn't seem to be shaping up that way... but we shall see. I hope it is because i don't want to see the boom of Wii U sales this game should rightfully create be destroyed because the 3DS version wasn't very good.

The character selection screen looks sooo tight (thats what she said). But honestly, it really does look tight and squished... and those aren't even every character...
