Wii Sports Resort has some of my best memories because it was the only game I didn't feel complete trash at(I was a god at wakeboarding, still am) so every time I open up my closet and find my Wii and Wii U, I feel the INSANE urge to set it up and play. If anyone who's played it before is with me at my house, you can bet I'm bringing it out. Anyone who's willing to go back in time to some of the best days of video games, we're doing it.

i am romanian. i moved to england for a while, than moved back to romania. it was 2015-2016, i was 8-9 years old. i would spend countless hours playing trying to beat every level in showdown, grinding to get to matt on duel, every once in a while i would play basketball with my father, but most often than not, it was just me playing. i would constantly do the six day cycling minigame. i look back on those days fondly, playing mario kart wii, making sure i got all the vehicles and characters. i remember my fascination with all those cool shortcuts. i wish i could go back now. all of my motion-plusses are broken, so i can't play wii sports resort anymore. i wanna go back.

Always regretted not getting this game back in the day. I would be so down if Nintendo re-released it on the Switch with online play, or better yet, made a sequel. Likely wishful thinking though.

I actually used to pretend the whole swordplay mode was a campaign. You'd start by training with speed slice. Then go through all the levels of showdown. And then duel would be like the final boss

I’m a huge star wars fan and I especially love the dueling so naturally a one on one, red vs blue, swordfighting mode has and will always peak my interest. This game mode alone will probably be enough for me to buy a wii so i can play this

This game had so much nostalgia for me. The childhood memories of my friend and I pretending to actually be on Wuhu island(which was not hard because of miis) is always something I love to think about. Those were some of the best days of my life. Not only is the game fun, the memories are my favorite part. I hope one day for a game where you can explore wuhu island without limits.

My grandparents had a wii and I loved playing WSR. I always did the swordplay and would grab the base of the strap and randomly swing it. Theirs’ broke a few years ago, but im buying one for myself and I can’t wait to relive my old memories.

The Island Flyover mode is perfect, except it has one big flaw. *There's a time limit!* Like it's completely fine to have it to see how many i-points you can collect in five minutes. But why is there still a time limit when you turn off the i-points, and just want to screw around flying over Wuhu Island. It always felt annoying that after 5 minutes, I'd have to go through some menus, and then start over, and not from the location where you left off.

I love Wii Sports Resort! My brother and I used to play this game all the time! Feels like nostalgia every time we play this game today. Swordplay, Basketball, and Ping Pong are my favorites! In our household, these are classics on top of wakeboarding, frisbee dog, archery, Golf, and Bowling. I also love cycling, skydiving, and dogfight/island flightover. I am not a big fan of canoeing and Power Crusing, but I could not imagine Wii Sports Resort without these sports. My brother and I have both beat Lucia in Ping Pong. Night time and sunset are my two favorite in game times to play. I'll admit, I wish Wuhu Island was real! I bet many people would visit a real life Wuhu Island.

I wish I could say the same, but I think the series is at it's worst right now. New entries in a series should strive to be better than the last ones but Switch Sports perfectly comfortable sitting in last place. Switch Sports has six minigames. That is the same amount of games as the ORIGINAL Wii Sports and two of those games are near damn identical. It's barley competing with the first game and the best part is that's not even the compettition It's going up against Sports Resort, which has TWELVE minigames with numerous sub games to go along with it. Whenever I criticize Switch Sports people say "Yeah, but as long as they add DLC it's fine" which I personally think is really stupid. Yeah, they're probably gonna give it 40$ DLC to add in the rest of the games, but how is that a good thing? Nintendo fans don't know how to admit when something is bad. Like just take a step back, even if they do add DLC (which they totally will) are you really going to be happy paying for games should have been there in the first place? Companies should ship games finished, not fix it later after taking even more of your money. Finish the game, then sell it. It doesn't even come with golf on launch. Golf is literally one of the most iconic games in the series and it's not coming till later this summer. If that doesn't scream rushed cash grab I don't know what does. I wish I liked Switch Sports like everyone else but unless they release a sort of "Switch Sports Resort" game in the future I can't see myself ever liking it.

I just graduated High School last week and I was just thinking back on my memories of this game. I used to play this with my siblings and cousins in my childhood. I was obsessed with this game in Kindergarten and I would pretend I was in the game at recess. One time I was too focused on pretending to be in the cycling game that I actually refused when another student asked me to play with them and they started crying.
