Some observations from the trailer (also posted on reddit): 1 - Fusion robot mechs baby, from two people forming a bond and becoming one. Hopefully this means the end of the shipping wars and friendzone as each person seems to have a set partner. However, I also think it might be a more versatile system where you can mix and match pairs of characters to make different mech robots. The system seems to be unsustainable and harmful when done for a prolonged time hence the 'warning' systems we see during combat. 2 - The partner system appears to have replaced the blade system, with each person having a partner as a controllable duo instead of 6 or more separate characters. 3 - Melia and Nia exist, its almost certainly them now, but they don't seem to be the main villains as of the trailer or mentioned much at all. Perhaps they are not the main villains after all or Monolith is deliberately withholding info until a later date as this would be such a massive drop. 4 - A MASSIVE party, with at least 7 or more characters in combat. At least 4+ characters appear to be brand new and able to take part in combat. 5 - So many new characters that I can't name them all. Above all, we have a confirmed nopon party member 6 - 'Ouroboros' seems to be an integral part of the fusion system as per the combat shots. Its also in everyones eyes. 7 - The music is again, a straight bop but with a lot less flute than I expected, that will probably come later. Anyone else hear the EXACT motifs of the xenoblade 1 and 2 themes? Speaking of music, the xenoblade 2 theme appears at the same time as the bearded man/possible rex. Coincidence? 8 - Time seems to be a key mechanic, with that shot of Noah looking around a city that has been stopped in time. Mio makes references to the fact people have limited time to live. 9 - It appears weapons of characters can be interchanged? Noah was using the paper bird thing at the end. and last but not least 10 - ROTBART IS BACK BABY

what if there is multiplayer... imagine playing this with other people online and being able to actually coordinate a live party as you go through the story. It seems really far fetched but imagine facing against another team of ouroboros (12 players) and you duke it out and once the mech suits are exhausted, you hop out for foot battle. Would be insane imo, maybe a mode like capture the flag.

I’m SO excited for this game it was the perfect way to end the direct in my opinion and I’m happy it’s coming a little bit earlier than expected meaning production is probably running more smoothly for monolith than they thought also those fused forms look absolutely sick looking I can’t wait to see how we obtain that form and what the story is about

The more we learn about this game, the more questions come up and I love it. Seriously, on the website it calls the weapons that all of the character use Blades. That makes it sound like that everyone is somewhat a Blade like being. It is even more curious with the class change system. Then another really odd thing is the one character that mentions the passage of fate. Then there is the whole existence of Oroborus and how exactly they work. Overall, they are very interesting.

What is interesting to me is that there is 2 blades in the party confirmed. If you notice the pairings though, it's human and blade...except for taion and eunie. Is he secretly a perfect flesh eater? Or is eunie, and her core crystal is just above her waistline? Note their oriborous form's core is much much lower than the others.

I've never played Xenoblade Chronicles but I want to get started with the 1st one. Is it worth getting into? Some of my favorite games are the original Kingdom Hearts, Star Wars KOTOR, Breath of the wild and The Witcher 3. I've heard nothing but good things about this series and I hope I end up loving it if I decide to get into it. Would love any opinions and/or advice please

You should definitely start with xeno 1 definitive edition really good game for if you like a jrpg with combat mechanics where you really need to invest yourself in a good sometimes cheesy and sometimes dark story
