I haven't seen anyone point this out yet, but at the start of the gauntlet levels / arena levels where you kill a bunch of enemies, the start theme from Mario Bros plays. Also the world map theme in Castle Bowser is a remix of one of the past final boss battles, I can't remember exactly but I think it's from the Bowser fight in NSMBU

Number 5 is just flat out wrong. You can find Coins Galore after being the world. I've stayed above 70 lives since world 3 and have found Coins Galore on every world multiple times.
