I can actually explain why the polterpup No longer has the pupils, It's probably because he's no longer in evershade valley, and thus the dark moon's pacifying effect is probably either weaker or not present at all hence why the eyes are ghostly

My cousin had this game on his 3ds which i got to play or watch him play. Later on i got a 2ds for christmas and when i saw the game in stores i wanted it and got to play it fully. But my 2ds broke, so this gives me a chance to revisit the game in HD.

The Ghost thing also applies with the bonus mission names. Also if you count Scarescraper as an area it spells out GHOSTS. Finally you don’t have to finish the game to hear Luigi call out Mario when using the D Pad. You only have to learn that he’s been turned into a painting.

Besides just having a blast and doing relaxed things like the ones you mentioned including painting a picture which was being done by one of the 2 hiders in gloomy manor, but you also have 3 hider ghosts having a pillow fight in the mission "pool party".

Not only does “ghost” spell out with the firstborn letters of the mansions and the possessors, but also the names of the bonus missions from catching every Boo in a Mansion. Gradual Infiltration, Hostile Intrusion, Outlandish Interruption, Severe Infestation, and Terrifying Invasion. Gradual, G, Hostile, H, Outlandish, O, Severe, S, and Terrifying, T. Ghost! I also just realized the second word start saying with an I every time lol
