I honestly get a bad feeling from it. Notice how the new character is the only one who anime blushes while the others have human blushes? I hope im wrong, but i think if things go this way, the franchise might turn into a whole anime game, with all those steriotypes, making it more targeted to real life losers. Just like that cut cutscene where you could get all female characters to be okay with dating you as a group. And worse, that might get to the smt franchise, like how smt 4: apocalipse has some traces of persona writing.

@@Shane_A_M Remember Sumire has low self-esteem. She has no confidence in herself that her love confession was going to get through Joker if you were to deny her love confession. She was scared to get rejected. I basically seen these type of love confessions before in actual Anime television series. They get surprised that their love confession has gotten that far so basically they say Phew I didn't except to get this far into my love confession. But now that Joker has accepted her love confession it does indeed have a little meaning now that I'm in a reletionship with him. How is our relationship going to change from now on moving forward. That's why Sumire asked if Joker could get closer to her. To see if her feelings for him have changed after her love confession got accepted. This is Sumire and Joker's first time dating someone. They both don't have romantic experience at all so that's why they are a little confused right now. Once you start taking Sumire on dates they will start to get to know each other little more. Once you get Valentine's and White day Sumire will know what she wants to do with Joker within their romantic relationship. Sumire wants to take care of Joker because she doesn't want to rely on Joker anymore. Sumire wants to support Joker and Joker wants to support Sumire. Not to mention Sumire completely understands Joker's bold moves like turning himself into the police and how he always puts everyone else's happiness before his own.

Akira Kurusu My Opinion: I didn’t think that line in particular was supposed to be deep. It’s word-for-word the same as a meme that made the rounds not that long ago. I think it’s a joke based on her low-self esteem, she didn’t expect the favorable outcome at all so she didn’t plan for it, not even so much as considering what it would feel like if he said yes, and being caught off-guard by her own positive feelings.

Note that Kasumi was the only person who outright confesses to Joker. Haru is a close second when she blushes with heavy implications before your choice. I also laughed and loved when Joker does his 2 step lean in close on Kasumi making her flusters and red as a tomato. When he does stuff like that without my input, I love it even more!

@Games aren't fun I know what you mean. For quite a few girls it feels like there is hardly any chemistry until AFTER you went all-in. I guess that this has something to do with the Japanese culture, where the female ideal leans more towards passive behaviour. It made it so much easier to reject Haru though. I initially didn't like her floof level, her personality however is golden. Good thing she basically sets up her friendzone all by herself. Otherwise I don't know if I would have been able to do it.

This is the thing that was the nail in the coffin of why I really didn’t like Kasumi as a Vanilla P5 player. She already was thrown loosely into a jam-packed story with a quite a few of romantically charged scenes that you were forced to sit through. Then to make her the only girl to confess on top of that when none of the girls of base game did? Cool if you like her romantically but if not, all of that becomes very irksome, especially given how she literally ONLY spends time with Joker and has lingering effects from severe mental issues that aren’t properly addressed like Futaba did in her Confidant. She never hangs out with anyone else either, as even Futaba does so. Though to be honest Kasumi’s rank 9 romance option really is in line with the utter lack of subtly in her writing and how disconnected it is from the rest of the game. Also the closest confession is actually Futaba, who earnestly opens her heart to Joker about how she feels. It’s also the only one of base game where Joker doesn’t imply anything or try to be suave, he just straight out says that he loves Futaba and she decides that they’re dating.

When Kasumi went to save Joker in Sae's palace Joker was just amazed by Kasmui's moves. Sumire and Joker are a great couple in Royal. I thought in the original Persona 5 game that Makoto was the one for Joker.

@@SuperHothead14 Indeed it was a bit forced but that's because Sumire is such a special character that was add onto the story. Sumire has so many similarities between Joker that's because she is basically supposed to be better than the girls that were already in the story. The outfits are one thing but it seems that the developers wanted to changed up what they normally did in their past games. It was good they did this because it's to keep the game fresh something that the fans never experienced. Sumire is a special character to Joker. After Sumire losing her sister she now understands why Kasumi was always doing great in dancing that's because she loved her little sister basically her source. With Joker Sumire has a source of love towards him to keep her going in her sport. Their relationship wasn't force all that much because when Sumire was dancing by herself she didn't dance with Joker in the cut scene. Also it breaks my heart to say this at the true ending you basically see nothing.... You know what I mean... If you played Call of duty or any other game. You know how this works so basically the developers make a weapon that is overpowered that ranks in the top five. So when people start getting tired of the same old overpowered weapon's they basically launch more weapons into the game where it's called DLC. With DLC weapons they are supposed to be forced to become better than the original weapons that were launched. It's just to keep the game fresh so people won't get bored of the samething over again. What would have been nice if you have leveled up the girl you liked you could have special cut scenes with them throughout the entire game so people won't be mad that their waifu had no meaning. What also had been nice if you romanced a girl you'll get a special romantic cut scene at the end of the game.

My GOD, I feel Sumire's confession on an emotional level. That's EXACTLY how I felt and EXACTLY what I did when I realized I was in love. Literally not even 2 days after me and my boyfriend had gotten together, there was a moment where I had asked him if I could just look at him. I also held his hand and laid on his shoulder for a good bit too. But in that moment where I asked my boyfriend if I could just take a moment and look at him, I realized then that I loved him, and I could see love reflecting in his eyes back at me. And what's crazy is, we were close friends before we even became a couple. I just feel this scene tugging on my heart so much... I think I'm gonna cry. Now, my boyfriend and I have been together for 13 months, and honestly after everything we've been through together side by side, or away from each other, I know in my heart that he's everything I could ever want. Thank you Persona 5 for letting me realize that my heart was stolen by my true love. :'D

@@tethu1740 Likely whoever got the footage saved the game on the day of the Rank 9 event (in Persona speak for those who don't know, each Confidant, to which these girls are a part of, are divided into 10 ranks. The rank 9 event is where you can choose to romance them). They then went through the confidant event, recorded the romance option, reloaded their save and then picked the friendship option instead. Then they did this nine more times for each of the girls. Really, if one wanted to, they _could technically_ romance every girl individually, but that would require a minimum of 10 separate playthroughs. Unless you want to be an ass and do the harem route, which I would highly recommend against...
