I remember when this game came out, saw a friend fighting Mother Brain (he had rented the game), thought to myself, oh same old boss fight I see. Well he defeated the first form, I'm thinking alright it's over. I wasn't ready for the bitch to actually have a body this time, completely caught me off guard, but prepared me for what I was to expect when I bought my copy weeks later. I still have that copy in original box to this day, a treasure of the SNES.

The guy in the playthrough made it look like a cutscene where it looks like she finished the brain off but in actuality, you have full control over your character in this scene. it's impossible to avoid that part. Even if you didn't get hit by it (wich someone has done) the game actually makes you take damage, the beam is just a graphical display, so technically it is a no-damge boss run.

I had the SNES and Super Metroid when I was younger, but it is in good condition, and we never thought it was in the shed out back, but my father found it in the shed and the game as well! Thank god we still had it. We lived outside of Barclay which is a very small town
