@@zer0p1x3l Both Nickelodeon All Star Brawl and Multiversus have been dubbed Smash Killers from multiple sides of the internet, Smash fans, competitive smash fans, then they killed themselves. Nick was too overhyped and under budget while Multiversus failed to meet demand. Going back to Smash after playing those two made me appreciate how much work Sakurai and his team made it incredibly polished with its animations and movement.

Impressive, although you got Heaven's Door and the morph ball bomb origins mixed up, Heaven's Door came from Tekken Tag Tournament 1 where it was exclusive to Devil and Angel (which was later brought back in Tekken 5 as a Devil Jin move exclusively and later TTT2 to Kazuya and then T7 again) Morph Ball Bomb was in the original NES Metroid game. Some I didn't even know there were origins

7:31 Dedede's down B isn't from Super Star, his jet hammer is from the cancelled Kirby GCN. The model from SSB Brawl of the jet hammer is from Kirby GCN, a piece of concept art shows Dedede holding the jet hammer.

Prepare to get schooled Kirby Super Star Ultra released after SSBB. Dedede’s Jet Hammer is based on Kirby Super Star, in which Kirby can perform a similar move, the Hammer Flip, when in possession of the Hammer copy ability: it consists in charging the hammer, then releasing it with a fiery upward swing as shown in the video. Later games, released after Brawl, made the Hammer Flip available to King Dedede himself in his playable appearances. The jet engine inside the hammer is a Smash Bros. original feature; however, King Dedede's Masked Dedede persona in Kirby Super Star Ultra (released eight months after Brawl) wields a new, electrified mechanical mallet which can shoot missiles and spew fire. Although, it should be noted that the concept of King Dedede using a hammer with jet engines was planned way before Smash and Super Star Ultra, as evident with concept art for the cancelled GameCube Kirby game showcasing an early design for a "jet hammer". Said game still has representation in the final version of Brawl, via various Kirby trophies who use models that match greatly with the ones from that game.

It's a shame to see that Smash 4 was the game where they began becoming too reliant on counter attacks to be the down specials for characters, and then it just continued into Ultimate's newcomers. I always thought Isabelle's down special was also referencing her setting up the firework displays in New Leaf alongside the gyroids as a whole.
