As someone who is a genuine soccer referee in the past. I actually believe waluigi and wario both need one less handling infraction. This is because after a goal there isnt a need for a penalty to use hands to reset the ball. I also would daisy slide on the unsportsmanlike behavior as she doesnt really DO anything, if you wanna count it as threat maybe, but i would just as mad if i was down that much. ⁠​⁠I feel like the whole “unsporting conduct” thing can kinda be excused if the players are allowed to play up their personalities for the cameras. Like how wrestlers have personas they put on, with some being the “heel”, or villain, and insult and taunt their opponents. So a character like Waluigi would be adored by the sports network for being such a strong personality fans could either love, hate, or love to hate. Feels like the vibe of this sport is just as much focused on the flashiness and intense excitement as it as actually trying to be a sport. Again, it honestly feels more like pro wrestling just with a soccer flair, where the players are putting on an entertaining show even more so than actually playing the game. So that’s probably also why things like handling and foreign objects and flashy and dangerous abilities are hand waved so much; the fans care more about watching these cool moves than an actually fair and strictly regulated game.

On account of the widely different body structures of the possible players, I don't think this game (which I shall call Strikers) has clothing requirements. For example, some possible players do not have legs and thus, can't wear shorts, shin guards or shoes and for that reason, I don't think any of those would be demanded. In addition while Strikers is similar to soccer it's clearly far more aggressive where players are expected to hurt each other throughout play. Because of that, I don't think players hurting each other during play would be an infraction, though hurting each other outside of play certainly is. Since players are expected to hurt each other, it makes sense that they would also go onto the field with more sports armor in Strikers than they would in soccer so wearing more sports armor probably isn't an infraction in this game. However, the use of weapons or spikes on said armor probably would be an infraction, note that since Bowser and Bowser Jr. do not use anything external to breathe fire, just their biology, this means that their fire breaths are legal. All this being said, the fact that players will dribble the ball rather than grabbing it which is far easier does indicate that like soccer, touching the ball with ones hands is forbidden and despite the game being far more aggressive, I can't imagine damaging/altering the playing field/cameras would be allowed as that just makes the game more expensive to run. There are also cases of infractions being listed here that shouldn't be, such as bringing a prop onto the field outside of play so that the players can showboat, which probably shouldn't be an infraction. The only question I have is if using one's mouth to move the ball is illegal in Strikers. It's illegal in Soccer because players might not try to take it for fear of hurting the other player but in Strikers, player's are expected to hurt each other so maybe it's illegal, maybe it isn't. Perry’s infraction over shin guards could be debatable because plants probably don’t have shins to speak of. While yes, Petey can walk on two legs, he is still a plant creature. This even probably makes him immune to needing shoes because what feet does he even have to speak of?
