Well, Bowser does use dark/black magic, so nobody would take the risk that he is in fact disguising himself as a fake disguise of himself, many of his minions would believe Bowser is cunning enough to. (Just look at the different ways Bowser kidnaps Peach, he certainly has his cunning moments)

Its funny how this implies that the Toads are much smarter than Bowser and the Koopa Kids. Those 2 easily fall for the disguise while Toad is quick to realize its just a costume. It also implies that Bowser has a strong center of gravity if a banana can't trip him.

It would've been funny if the Koopa running the Item Shop in 2 flat-out told a lie out of fear, and insisted to the player in the Bowser Suit that his shop was out of stock. Alternatively Boo could apologize and state that even if "Bowser" demanded it, stealing always comes at a price.

Bowser Suit in 8 is only available on the Bowser board where players steal stars from each other by using Bowser or Bullet Bill candies, hense no special interreaction on other boards nor are there on the Bowser board either.

In Mario party 2 Bowser has his own board. His minions are the final battle in the minigame coaster. The players always fight him in the end of the board. The bowser bomb greatly impacts the trajectory of the board too. In MP3 it’s literally the only MP game with no board and one of the few with no bowser mini games and he’s more comedic relief in the story mode which is why the bowser suit is greatly nerfed.
