No it's not (in this video at least), all Java traits are here, like the combat system for example, it focuses on less mashy attacks compared to bedrock.

Few things I know about Minecraft, is that you can critical by hitting a enemy while you are in air. Also hitting while sprinting works too! Also, you'll know you made a critical hit because of sparks emitting when you hit!

My PvP playing ass was mentally hurt by the usage of the potions and axe play 😭 Also please sneak when throwing a buff pot like strength, that makes the duration longer.
