in battle league some characters straight up grab the ball and throw them because there’s no referee and they can just grab the ball for the entire match making it more like American football charged only had 3 touching the ball with their hands (daisy just punches it, bowser uses his metal claws, donkey Kong does it the whole match but it’s justified)

No one can tell me Mario strikers charged isn’t the best, besides for how dope they look, fading to all black with their own color as the color of their line work and glowing, the sound design is impeccable and makes you feel them, the metallic clank layered over the sub hit layered with a deep explosion sound, so good, makes it feel special, and then it transitions right into that guitar riff, ugh, so good

Yeah, the super team was an unlockable character Their whole gimmick was that they had amazing stats and all four were captains, so all of them could do a super strike, but the downside is that it is harder to successfully do a super strike with them

Makes you wonder: Since they're bringing in the other characters from Charged back into Battle League through updates, is there gonna be other characters brought into Battle League as their striker debut for DLC? Like from the other spin-offs like Ballyhoo, Mallow, Dimentio, and the like? It'd be nice to see characters like that on the switch after so long of not seeing them. It'd be a great way to look at the history of Mario games as so many fans want a lot of these characters back in some way.

Everyone here hypes up Charged as the best (which, yeah), but you can't deny that Battle League's animation for its special strikes isn't cool as hell. The squash and stretch, the foreshortening, the switch in animation style, how each kick still captures every character's personality, it's so awesome and expressive in a way I've rarely seen in Mario games. I really wish they'd add back characters from Charged to see what they'd look like in this style.

Battle league has the best special strikes. The art style implemented in the animations, the pre animation like waluigi being a show off and and Rosalina kicking the ball TO SPACE, and the effects they do to the opponents

They also fit their characters aswell, but in a more extreme kinda serious fashion compared to battle league which is more tame and cartoony.

I remember when me and a sibling played this again, I could remember how too but they needed a bit to get back into the swing of it so I promised not to score any goals till they got the hang of it, I can't remember who we were playing but the second they said I could play normally the game was ended almost instantly and wasn't allowed to play against them again, I made em rage quit irl.
